  • Publication number: 20240083192
Abstract: The instant disclosure is directed to a heterogeneous fiber fluid reservoir for holding and delivering fluid. A reservoir may comprise a rod having a core component and a surrounding component. Each of the core component and the surrounding component may comprise fibers. The core component may have a first property, and the surrounding component may have a second property different from the first property, or the core component and the surrounding component may each have a different value or range of values for the same property. Alternatively, a reservoir may comprise a rod that includes fibers and has a cross-sectional diameter. At least one property of the rod may vary in value along the cross-sectional diameter of the rod. The property may include, for example, fiber bulk density, fiber diameter, fiber material, fiber morphology, fiber surface tension, capillary force, fluid absorption capacity, color, or combinations thereof.

  • Publication number: 20240065777
Abstract: Methods and systems for performing robotically-assisted surgery in conjunction with intra-operative imaging. A method includes moving a robotic arm with respect to a patient and an imaging device to move an end effector of the robotic arm to a pre-determined position and orientation with respect to the patient based on imaging data of the patient obtained by the imaging device. The robotic arm maintains the end effector in the pre-determined position and orientation with respect to the patient and does not collide with the imaging device or with the patient when the imaging device moves with respect to the patient.

  • Patent number: 11734758
Abstract: A system applying semantics from and applying analytics to an uploaded prior approval document to identify legal language terms affecting export approval, associating these terms with synonyms and thesaurus based comparisons and generating a control language common to prior approval agreements, thus increasing a population of trade authorizations in a blockchain and thereby enhancing an automated trade control term ontology repository. In response to a transaction of a digital asset, inter-attribute relationships are applied to evolve valuation blockchain entries for similar digital assets.

  • Patent number: 11333071
Abstract: A system includes a divided volute turbocharger that delivers compressed air to an internal combustion engine and receives exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine. The turbocharger includes a turbine housing, a first and second volute, and a turbine housing outlet. The system also includes turbine wheel disposed in the turbine housing and a vane ring disposed in the turbine housing between the turbine wheel and the volutes. The vane ring includes a plurality of vanes having an asymmetric vane pattern disposed on a vane ring surface of an annular disk that receives the turbine wheel therewithin to direct and control the flow of exhaust from the volutes into the turbine wheel with generally equal flow while significantly reducing HCF forcing function.

  • Publication number: 20210361049
Abstract: A scalp massager that simultaneously dispenses fluid is provided. A reservoir of fluid is fluidly coupled to a plurality of dispensing conduits, wherein each dispensing conduit is operatively associated with a resilient leg so that the outlet of the dispensing conduit is adjacent the distal end of the resilient leg. Both the resilient leg and the dispensing conduit each terminate at two adjacent points. The resilient leg may provide a foot that extends the two adjacent points for massaging the scalp.

  • Patent number: 11122750
Abstract: An in-ground plant container with a watering-well that is open at both ends and is functional and decorative. The above-ground portion in this present embodiment has a round bowl-shaped water well and broadly rounded lip for ease of gripping and placing in an appropriately sized hole. The bowl of the watering-well keeps the plant container above ground. The bottom, below ground portion, has vertical fins for lateral stability in the soil. This embodiment also has external helical threads at its base for ease of placement in loosened soil. The above ground portion of the plant container watering-well can be wider than the base and replaces the organic soil watering-well. This in-ground plant container with watering-well is for conserving water, and the containment of localized water contaminated by pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.

  • Patent number: 10314247
Abstract: An in-ground plant container with watering-well that is open at both ends and is functional and decorative. The above-ground portion of this present embodiment has a circular watering-well bowl that is surrounded by a removal-able twist-ring rim that is both functional and decorative. The twist-ring along with several aspects of this embodiment work together to keep the plant container's watering-well bowl above ground-level. The bottom, below-ground portion, has vertical fins to prevent lateral rotation of plant container from repeated twist-ring removal and re-attachment; and two attached horizontal flanges also help to prevent upward and downward movement. The non-organic watering-well bowl replaces the organic soil-watering-well. This in-ground plant container with watering-well is for conserving water, and the containment of water contaminated by pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.

  • Patent number: 10314248
Abstract: Bottomless in-ground plant containers with watering-wells that are open at both ends that are both functional and decorative. The above-ground portions, the watering-well bowls, of these present embodiments have faux decorative pavers that add support in keeping the watering-wells above ground-level. The bottom, below-ground portions, the well barrels, have two attached horizontal flanges permanently attached to their bases to help prevent upward and downward movement, as-well-as adding extra stability in keeping the watering-well bowls above ground-level. These non-organic watering-well bowls replace the organic soil watering-wells; and these in-ground plant-containers with watering-wells are for conserving water and the localized containment of water contaminated by pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.

  • Patent number: 8892493
Abstract: A “Compatibility Tester” extracts observable behaviors from different system implementations (e.g., software, operating systems, device drivers, hardware interfaces, etc.), then performs compatibility testing via comparisons of the extracted behaviors. Traces (e.g., bus level signals between controllers and hardware devices or commands between software components) representing observable behaviors of different implementations of a system are captured. Temporal and structural rules are then mined from these traces. The mined rules (or a model constructed from those rules) are used by a “Rule Checking” process that determines whether reference rules (mined from a known compatible system) are compatible with rules mined from test traces of a second system. Invalid rules are flagged as behavioral compatibility bugs.

  • Patent number: 6149129
Abstract: A probe and a valve, which may be used together in a valve assemblage, and a method of using them. The valve includes a valve body with a forward end having a forwardly tapering valve body opening defined by a valve seat; a valve seal positioned in the valve body and having a forward end with a forwardly tapering valve seating portion, with the forward end being movable rearwardly from a closed position in which the seating portion sealingly mates against the valve seat to close the valve body opening, to an open position in which the valve seating portion is spaced from the valve seat to allow fluid to pass through the valve body opening and hence through the valve; and a resilient member adapted to urge the forward end of the valve seal into the closed position.
