  • Patent number: 9465080
Abstract: In accordance with one aspect of the present technique, a method is disclosed. The method includes identifying a first change in an excitation direction of a group of cells and determining a first set of characteristics of the group of cells corresponding to the first change. The method also includes identifying a second change in the excitation direction of the group of cells and determining a second set of characteristics of the group of cells corresponding to the second change. • Publication number: 20150122832
Abstract: An air vent tube for liquids and beverages allows air to flow into a bottom portion of a container from which the liquid or beverage is poured. This reduces agitation and congestion that occurs when air attempts to flow into the container opening at the same time the liquid is attempting to flow out of the container opening. The air vent tube is a single open tube with no moving parts that assures the pressure inside the container is equalized with the ambient air pressure. The air vent tube is especially useful, for example, for pouring carbonated beverages from bottles. The air vent tube saves time, reduces the risk of overflow from foaming or head, reduces costs, and results in a more aesthetically appealing pour.

  • Publication number: 20130017732
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for determining whether a connector is properly seated are disclosed. One such apparatus is directed to a connector including a plurality of transmission lines and a plurality of contact elements. The transmission lines include functionally coupling lines that are configured to transmit data signals. In addition, the contact elements are disposed at an end of the connector and include at least one coupling contact element that is configured to couple at least one of the functionally coupling lines to a device element. The contact elements further include at least one connection sensing contact element that is disposed toward at least one side edge of the connector and is shorter than the coupling contact element. Methods include monitoring a detection signal in a global connection loop. Other methods include comparing a detection signal to a threshold to determine whether a connector is properly seated.

  • Patent number: 7486123
Abstract: A method and latch circuits are provided for implementing enhanced noise immunity performance. Each latch circuit includes an L1 latch and an L2 latch coupled to the L1 latch. Data is first latched in the L1 latch during a first half clock cycle and then latched in the L2 latch during a second half clock cycle. A path opposite a latched data state is gated off in both the L1 latch and the L2 latch, where a path to a voltage supply rail is gated off with a latched low data state and a path to ground is gated off with a latched high data state.

  • Patent number: 7103857
Abstract: A method and latch circuit for implementing enhanced performance includes critical data and clock paths and non-critical sections. A low voltage threshold (LVT) transistor is used only in the critical data and clock paths. The non-critical sections are implemented with regular VT, (RVT), or low leakage (LLD) transistors. The latch circuit advantageously is implemented using LVT devices in the internal critical paths of the latch and RVT output buffer transistors.
