  • Patent number: 5655254
Abstract: A cleaning machine is provided with a recovery tank for containing recovered liquid from a floor or other surface that is being cleaned. The recovery tank has a chamber that houses the recovered liquid and within the chamber are a recovery inlet and a vacuum conduit. The recovery inlet carries the recovered fluid for discharge into the chamber and the vacuum conduit is used in creating a desired vacuum to cause the recovered liquid to be drawn into the chamber. The recovery tank is disposed on a cleaning tank for containing a liquid cleaning solution that is applied to the surface for cleaning purposes. The recovery tank covers an access opening in the cleaning tank for receipt of the liquid cleaning solution. A vacuum motor produces the vacuum and is located next to the cleaning tank below the recovery tank. Sealing members insure a proper seal at the junctions for the recovered liquid and the vacuum when the removable tank is joined to the cleaning tank.

  • Patent number: 4687122
Abstract: A combination seat cushion and liquid container has a self-bleeding bung dispensing valve positioned in a single bung hole of the container for dispensing liquid from the container while bleeding air into the container. The valve structure includes an air bleed valve and a liquid drain valve, both of which open simultaneously upon the depression of a button in the bung hole and which automatically close simultaneously upon release of the pressure on the button.

  • Patent number: 4251241
Abstract: This invention relates to a cyclone-type aspirated dirt separator for use in washing dirt from dirt-laden dry airstreams and, more particularly, to a device of the class described which is especially suited for use with a dry pick-up vacuum cleaner as a means for collecting the dirt it picks up in a water bath. The separator is characterized by a riser tube with an open top and an opening in its lower end immersed in a water bath into which dirt-laden dry air is introduced tangentially for ascending spiral movement therethrough while simultaneously aspirating water. Internal baffles create turbulent flow in the water/dirt-laden air mixture and they thus prevent vortexing which otherwise results in a relatively unwashed dirt-laden air column centered inside a hollow water column.
