Abstract: An orthodontic apparatus having a tube shaped attachment. A wire is threaded through the attachment, the wire having a shape whereby it can generate torsional forces on the attachment. The attachment may be secured to either a primary bracket which is secured to a tooth or to a primary wire. Either the primary arch wire can be used in conjunction with the attachment or a secondary wire can be used in addition to a primary wire. By way of this arrangement, forces can be generated along and around all three major axes.
