  • Patent number: 7938546
Abstract: The invention is directed at least in part to a method of illuminating an imager for projecting images, implementing light-emitting diodes of different colors, the diodes being designed to provide a beam illuminating the imager. According to various embodiments of the invention, for a set of at least one imager, the method includes receiving each image of the set; determining a color base dependent on the set of at least one image, called a secondary color base; and dynamically controlling the diodes according to the secondary color base. The invention also relates to a system implementing the method and a projector comprising such a system.

  • Publication number: 20080033970
Abstract: A method for providing a viewable search results log to allow determination of the effectiveness of search strategies and sharing results of searches with others. The search results log reveals search strategies utilized by a human searcher with which the search results log is associated. The search results produced by at least one human searcher are stored in the search results log and presented according to a view format selected by a viewer. The search results log can be interrelated to other systems such as a blog or a search engine.

  • Patent number: 6650248
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for allowing a user to program a universal remote control transmitter device by presenting interactive display menus or voice prompts within a first synchronized remote controllable appliance such as a television, whereby a user can easily program the remote control device to control desired types, brands, and models of additional, different appliances.

  • Patent number: 6549143
Abstract: A remote controllable device, apparatus or appliance such as a television is adapted to receive control signals from a universal remote control device addressed to a different appliance, i.e., when said appliance has not been selected, and informs the user that said appliance is not selected. Preferably the appliance displays information as to which other appliance has been selected, for example the TV could display on its screen the fact that it is receiving a remote control signal pertaining to a VCR by saying “VCR selected” when it receives a VCR control signal.

  • Patent number: 5566207
Abstract: A digital synthesizer for record circuitry of, e.g., a VCR, is supplied with digital samples representing a video signal. A calculator stage, responsive to the digital samples calculates a sequence of pulse periods defining a pulse duration modulated signal that represents FM modulation of a carrier by the video signal. An output sample generating stage operates on the sequence of pulse periods for generating a sequence of digital output samples which is converted in a digital-to-analog converter to the FM modulated video signal for subsequent recording on tape.
