  • Publication number: 20240318461
Abstract: This invention relates to improvements in locks and latches, particularly improving the strike plate, allowing horizontal and vertical adjustments to compensate for changes in the positioning of the strike plate relative to the heel of the latch bolt when the door is seated against the stop. The invention relates to an adjustable strike plate for locks, latches, and deadbolts, enables quick adjustment of a strike plate, and ensures holding the plate securely in an adjusted position. The invention is an apparatus made of three plates with two different sets of screws, one for securing the apparatus to a door jamb and another for adjusting and aligning the striker plate to a latch and/or deadbolt.

  • Patent number: 10115503
Abstract: A terminal-thermistor assembly may include a thermistor and a terminal. The thermistor may include a body encasing a temperature-sensing element. The terminal may include a shaft and a housing disposed on an end of the shaft. The housing may include a cavity, a protrusion extending into the cavity and a cantilevered spring element. The spring element may be resiliently flexible between a first position in which a space between the spring element and the protrusion is less than a thickness of the body of the thermistor and a second position in which the space between the spring element and the protrusion is equal to the thickness of the body. A first surface of the thermistor body may contact the spring element and a second surface of the thermistor body opposite the first surface may contact the protrusion when the body is received within the cavity.

  • Publication number: 20080006756
Abstract: The instant invention, the earth anchor, is comprised of a foundation plate, a connecting column, a strap anchor guide, a strap anchor bolt (pin) and a strap anchor. The foundation plate is an essentially flat metal plate that is permanently affixed to the bottom of the connecting column. The connecting column is a hollow cylinder that extends the length of the excavated opening. The strap anchor bolt is secured through the connecting column by an opening formed in the connecting column near the top of the connecting column. The foundation plate, the connecting column, the strap guide anchor and the strap anchor bolt (pin) are manufactured from a metallic or rigid polymeric material. The strap anchor is a flexible material that extends around the strap anchor bolt (pin) and around the back or side ground shoe (bar) when used in an application involving the securing of a sports goal.

  • Patent number: 5711503
Abstract: A cup holder designed to be attached to a transit bus fare collection box, for use by a transit bus driver to retain beverage containers in a predetermined position. The invention includes an attachment member designed to engage the fare collection box. A shelf member is connected to the attachment member and extends outward in its operative position to provide a substantially horizontal surface upon which a bus driver can place beverage containers, and other items. The shelf member is preferably provided with apertures or indentations designed to receive the beverage containers and secure the containers in position on the shelf member. In the preferred embodiment, the attachment member is provided in the form of a frame member that engages the fare collection box, and the shelf member is pivotally attached to the frame member such that the shelf member may be folded to an upward or downward position to lie against the fare collection box when the cup holder is not in use.

  • Patent number: 4598595
Abstract: A torque gauge using magnetoelastic ribbons is presented wherein changes in the magnetic characteristics of these ribbons are detectable in a push-pull mode for determining torque forces applied to the ribbons. Respective tensile and compressive forces applied to the ribbons cause a change in the magnetic qualities of the ribbons and of the inductance of coils wound about the ribbons with the change of inductance being a measure of the torque forces applied to the input of the device.
