  • Publication number: 20080301171
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media provide for generating XML files from mainframe data. According to embodiments, a method for generating Extensible Markup Language (XML) files from mainframe data is provided. According to the method, at least one mainframe data file is received. Data is extracted from the at least one mainframe data file according to at least one selection criteria. At least one XML tag is appended to the extracted data to generate at least one XML file.

  • Patent number: 7146332
Abstract: The present invention is a method and system of automatically tracking and balancing account receivable data transmitted to a processing entity by a service provider. A service provider submits to a processing entity a billing data file. The billing data file includes the service provider's customer account records which represent the service provider's accounts receivable. The processing entity tracks the accounts receivable data transmitted by the service provider and processed by the processing entity by separating individual customer account records into tracking data sets based on pre-defined criteria. To ensure that the processing entity has properly tracked all the accounts receivable submitted to and processed by the processing entity, the processing entity computes the total amount of accounts receivable located in each tracking data set related to a given service provider.

  • Patent number: 6636864
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and systems for automatically creating a data feed file for use by desktop applications. The invention comprises a raw data files that is stored on electronic storage devices inaccessible to desktop software applications. To gain access to data stored in the raw data file, a data feed file is generated and electronically transmitted to a location electronically accessible to a user-preferred desktop application. To generate the data feed file, the desired data is extracted from the raw data file based on data-locating criteria. The extracted data is further analyzed for compliance with data-limiting criteria which further defines the characteristics of data needed for the data feed file. The data extracted from the raw data file is then used to populate the data feed file. The data feed file is thereafter transmitted to a location accessible to the user-preferred desktop application for data tracking, data compilation, and various other types of data manipulation.

  • Patent number: 6609137
Abstract: The mechanism provides for a method and system of verifying that data files have been timely received from an data file originator and processed by a processing entity. A data file originator sends a processing entity data files that must be processed by a specified time and in a specified order. The mechanism provides that when a data file is processed by the processing entity, a confirmation record is created verifying that a given originator's data file has been processed. At a preset time, prior to the time the originator has specified for the data file to be processed, the processing entity performs a confirmation test. The confirmation test is used to confirm that originator's data files have been processed in the order specified by the originator. The confirmation test involves comparing the contents of confirmation records.
