    Abstract: A carpet removal system for efficiently removing carpeting. The carpet removal system includes a winch, a base member with a plurality of base teeth attached to the base member, an engaging member with a plurality of engaging teeth, and a cable extending from the winch for connecting to the engaging member. The base teeth and the engaging teeth are capable of catchably engaging the carpet to be removed. The engaging member is attached to an end of the carpet to be removed and the winch is positioned near an opposite position upon the carpet. The winch is operated to cause the engaging member to be drawn towards the winch thereby causing the carpet to be removed from the floor.
