  • Patent number: 4828248
Abstract: An apparatus for collecting and stacking in an inverted orientation large copy sheet discharged from the exit port of a whiteprint, blueprint or similar copying machine. A receptacle trough is provided for arresting and captivating the leading edges of the copy sheets as the sheets are discharged seriatim from the exit port of the machine. A stacking tray is disposed adjacent the receptacle trough for receiving the copy sheets inverted and in sequential order while the sheets remain captivated by the receptacle trough.

  • Patent number: 4819930
Abstract: An apparatus for stacking large copy sheets beneath a tabletop model whiteprint, blueprint or similar copying machine. A support structure spaces the copying machine above a subjacent support surface as a tabletop, floor or the like. A receptacle structure is disposed below and forwardly of the exit port of the machine for arresting the leading edges of the copy sheets as the sheets are discharged seriatim from the copying machine and for causing the sheets to bow rearwardly onto a stack in the stacking space beneath the machine. The apparatus can be provided in kit form for application to existing copying machines.

  • Patent number: 4228921
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for measuring the flow rate of liquid developer in a diazotype copy machine. The liquid developer is supplied from a supply source to a flowmeter provided with a metering device for dispensing the liquid developer from the flowmeter to a reservoir mounted on the flowmeter. A valve is associated with the reservoir and is actuable between a closed condition for retaining the liquid developer in the reservoir and an open condition for draining the liquid developer from the reservoir. An indicator is provided on the reservoir for measuring the flow rate, subsequent to actuation of the valve from the open to the closed condition, and provides an indication of the quantity of liquid developer received by the reservoir relative to a predetermined time period.

  • Patent number: 4158495
Abstract: A developer apparatus is provided for developing exposed diazotype copy sheets comprising an applicator roller, means for supplying liquid developer to the applicator roller, a metering blade for wiping excessive liquid from the applicator roller and a pressure blade for pressing a copy sheet against the surface of the applicator roller to transfer liquid from the applicator roller to the copy sheet to develop an image thereon. The metering and pressure blades are arranged for sliding movement between an inoperative position ineffective to develop the copy sheet and an operative position in pressure engagement with the applicator roller for developing the copy sheet. Cam and linkage control means is provided for sequentially moving the blades between the inoperative and operative positions under control of a manually operable actuating means.

  • Patent number: 4143969
Abstract: A guide means is provided for guiding diazotype copy sheet material through a developing apparatus over and in contact with a pair of rotatable applicator rollers positioned in axially spaced apart parallel relation. Developer liquid is supplied to the surface of the rollers for developing the copy sheet. The guide means includes a first and a second set of fine, filament-like guide wires strung taut across the rollers in the direction of movement of the sheet material through the developing apparatus. The guide wires of each set are positioned in spaced apart parallel relation, and the wires of one set are offset axially from the wires of the other set. The guide wires prevent the sheet material from becoming wrapped about the applicator rollers during passage of the material through the developing apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4142795
Abstract: Apparatus is provided for developing diazotype copy material by the application thereto of a quantity of liquid developer and comprises a heated enclosure for housing a pair of rotatable applicator rollers positioned in axially spaced apart parallel relation. Developer liquid is supplied to the surface of the rollers, and a pair of blade members is mounted adjacent each of the rollers for engagement therewith. One of the blade members of each pair meters the developer liquid on the roller and the other blade member forms a developing zone through which copy sheets are passed to be developed.

  • Patent number: 4023592
Abstract: A self-priming pump is provided for metering a positive controlled amount of a volatile liquid to a utilization device. The pump comprises a piston means for pumping the liquid from a liquid supply container to a chamber, and from the chamber to a reservoir where the liquid is maintained at a uniform and constant level by an overflow port which drains any excess liquid back to the liquid supply container. The liquid remaining in the reservoir flows through an outlet passage to a well from which the liquid is dispensed in metered units under control of an adjustable needle valve. The needle valve is provided for controlling the rate of feed of the liquid to the utilization device, and is accessible for adjusting the liquid flow while the pump is in operation. The reservoir is also provided with vent means to prevent impediment of liquid flow and, also, to permit liquid flow immediately in response to initial start-up and operation of the pump.
