  • Publication number: 20220406203
Abstract: A control system in communication with one of an aircraft navigational aid system and an aircraft surveillance system is described. The control system obtains measurement data associated with radio frequency (RF) signals transmitted by the one of the aircraft navigational aid system and the aircraft surveillance system from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) reporting the measurement data. The control system also determines whether the measurement data indicates the RF signals are within a range of values based on a location of the UAV in an airspace proximate to the one of the aircraft navigational aid system and the aircraft surveillance system. The control system further controls the RF signals transmitted by the one of the aircraft navigational aid system and the aircraft surveillance system based on the measurement data and the location of the UAV. Methods performed by the control system are also described.

  • Publication number: 20220313783
Abstract: The invention relates to novel systems, methods, and compositions for the competitive inhibition of bacterial toxins expressed in animal systems, and preferably the inhibition of toxins produced by pathogenic bacteria that affect aquatic animals. One aspect of the invention includes methods and compositions for the treatment of Early-Mortality Syndrome (EMS) in shrimp through the use of truncated PirBVp peptides used as competitor inhibitors to reduce formation of the cytotoxic PirAVp/PirBVp dimer complex.

  • Patent number: 7748380
Abstract: A combined air-supplying/air-purifying breathing system that includes a self-contained breathing apparatus, a facepiece for delivering breathable air from the self-contained breathing apparatus to a user, and a powered air-purifying respirator having at least one filter and a blower and having an output connected by a hose assembly to the facepiece. A control interface operationally connects the self-contained breathing apparatus to the powered air-purifying respirator. The self-contained breathing apparatus includes a pressure vessel, a cylinder valve assembly and a pressure reducer, all carried by a back frame, and the powered air-purifying respirator is adapted to be mounted on, and carried by, the back frame, by coupling the back frame and the respirator together at respective attachment points.

  • Patent number: 7658190
Abstract: A powered air-purifying respirator that includes an enclosure, defining a single contiguous enclosed interior, an inlet duct, including an inlet and a distribution portion, that guides ambient air to the interior of the enclosure, a plurality of filter canisters disposed within the interior of the enclosure, and a blower that forces air through the at least one inlet, into the interior of the enclosure and through the plurality of filter canisters to produce filtered air suitable for breathing. A valve controls the flow of ambient air through the inlet duct. A fluid dam, disposed in an air path between the inlet and the filter canisters prevents liquids from reaching the filter canisters. The enclosure is reinforced and is adapted to provide protection for the filter canister from flame and heat while the filter canister is in use. A recirculation valve recycles previously-filtered air back into the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 6827295
Abstract: A high pressure misting nozzle is disclosed having a nozzle stem body with a fluid inlet and a first chamber in communication with the fluid inlet, a fogger nozzle attached to the nozzle stem body, the fogger nozzle having a nozzle orifice and a second chamber in communication with the nozzle orifice and the first chamber, a valve member movably located in the first chamber and movable between a closed position preventing fluid communication between the fluid inlet and the first chamber, and an open position which allows fluid communication between the fluid inlet and the first chamber, and a nozzle pin movably located in the second chamber, the nozzle pin having fluid metering notches and being freely movable between a first position in which it is displaced away from the nozzle orifice, and a second position in which it is located adjacent to the nozzle orifice, the fluid entering the second chamber urging the nozzle pin toward the second position.

  • Publication number: 20040098783
Abstract: The garment has sleeves that are wider than twice the distance between the wearer's shoulders and armpits. These sleeves form folds of sleeve material under the armpits that absorb perspiration and prevent staining the outer garment. Attached to lingerie, the sleeves have bights formed in the sleeve material. These bights prevent the sleeve material from gathering, or bundling, as the lingerie shoulder straps are adjusted to adapt to the wearer's physique, thereby establishing a smooth transition from the sleeves to the lingerie that avoids forming unsightly humps in the outer garment surface. When the sleeves are used with a body shirt, a crotch strap is provided on the body shirt to stabilize the body shirt on the wearer's torso and to prevent the body shirt from “riding up” on the wearer's torso during strenuous physical activity.

  • Patent number: 6397263
Abstract: A logical device that is coupled to a computer can be controlled using string commands. The logical device requires flags and a data structure to operate properly. A string command with tokens for operating a specific logical device is provided. A linked list of the tokens is created. A command table for the specified logical device is found. The command table contains possible commands for the logical device, which commands are able to provide the required flags and data structure for the logical device. Each command in the command table contains key words or tokens or multiword tokens. The command table tokens are parsed, one at a time, against the command string tokens. If no match between the command table token and a command string token occurs, then the next command table token is parsed against the command string tokens.
