  • Patent number: 5045836
Abstract: A vehicle anti-freeze monitor for monitoring the capability of the vehicle's coolant mixture in the cooling system of the vehicle to resist freezing. The monitor includes a light emitting diode, a reed switch for coupling the indicator to a source of electricity and for selectively activating and deactivating the indicator. Also included is a float for submersion into the vehicle's coolant mixture. The float includes a buoyant body and a magnet which activates the reed switch when the vehicle's coolant mixture is in a safe condition against freezing and deactivates the reed switch when the coolant mixture is in an unsafe freezable condition.

  • Patent number: 4930787
Abstract: A device for producing a warning signal when a golf club is held with the longitudinal axis of the head thereof unparallel to the ground, or when the putter head undergoes any clockwise or counterclockwise rotation on the backstroke. The device includes a battery; signal structure for producing a signal when electrically energized; electrical circuit for electrically coupling the signal structure to the battery; and switch structure movable between an open position in which electrical energy is prevented from passing from the battery to the signal structure through the electrical circuit and a closed position in which electrical energy is allowed to pass from the battery to the signal structure through the electrical circuit to electrically energize the signal structure, the switch structure being in the closed position when the longitudinal axis of a golf club head is held at an angle unparallel to the horizon, or when the putter head undergoes any clockwise or counterclockwise rotation on the backstroke.

  • Patent number: 4007806
Abstract: A diaphragm type stethoscope for conveying sounds from within a patient's body to the ears of a medical examiner. A heating element is mounted within the hollow head of the stethoscope substantially adjacent the diaphragm member thereof for selectively heating the diaphragm member. A source of electrical power is preferably fixedly attached to the head of the stethoscope in electrical communication with the heating element to selectively activate the heating element.
