  • Patent number: 11926371
Abstract: Example steering wheel systems and torque feedback actuator assemblies for use in steer-by-wire vehicles are described herein. An example steering wheel system includes a steering wheel and a torque feedback actuator assembly. The torque feedback actuator assembly includes a housing and a helical gear rotatably disposed in the housing. The steering wheel is coupled to and coaxially aligned with the helical gear. The torque feedback actuator assembly also includes a motor with a worm gear engaged with the helical gear to provide torque feedback to the steering wheel by driving the helical gear.

  • Patent number: 4765061
Abstract: For a level having a platform with an opening, a caddy supporting a level vial so that the vial can be replaced. The caddy includes a keeper body and a latch body which mutually support the vial and which are positioned respectively on opposite sides of the opening. Latch and keeper means hold the bodies in tight engagement with the platform and can be released to allow the bodies to be separated for vial replacement.

  • Patent number: 4754873
Abstract: For a level having a pair of arms nested together but which are pivotally connected so as to be angularly separable from the nested condition and also moveable together from the separated condition to the nested condition, a hollow carrier for carrying the level constructed of flat panels one panel of which can be folded to permit the carrier to be slipped over one of the arms when the arms are angularly separated and then be refolded to provide for the separated arms to be moved into the nested condition.

  • Patent number: 4144650
Abstract: A pair of arms pivotally connected for relative rotation and a brake actuated by a rotatable lever positionable from either side of the level to restrain the arms against relative rotation or to allow the arms to freely rotate.

  • Patent number: 4121690
Abstract: Roofer's staging having a pair of light weight, metal platforms telescoped together and longitudinally slidable between closed and open positions. In the closed position, the platforms form a short pack (about 4 feet in length) for a roofer to carry up the ladder and deposit on the roof. On the roof the pack can be expanded so that the plaforms extend in-line to form a staging (about 8 feet in length). A major feature is that the roofer has the option of expanding either to the right or to the left.

  • Patent number: 4020921
Abstract: Light weight metal staging including a pair of roofer's platforms each about 4 feet in length with integral support means. On the ground, the platforms are telescoped together to make a short length, unitary pack for purposes of carrying up a ladder and depositing on a roof. On the roof, the platforms are manipulated so as to be set up in-line where one is the extension of the other to form the staging. The support means mount the staging on the roof. The overall length of the staging is about double the pack and provides a working length equivalent to that of the conventional 10 foot wood plank.
