  • Patent number: 8966478
Abstract: Methods and systems for use in executing a software application using a virtual machine (VM). A hardware description language (HDL) description of a target hardware platform is determined. A programmable hardware component is configured to be functionally equivalent to the target hardware platform based on the HDL description. The software application is executed using the configured programmable hardware component, such as by executing the software application in a VM that is, in turn, executed by the configured programmable hardware component.

  • Publication number: 20120012409
Abstract: A power-assist hand truck for assisting in the movement of objects. The powered hand truck includes two electric disc gearmotors, an overrunning clutch hub for each driven wheel, an e-stop switch, a speed control, a power source, a motor controller, and other necessary electronics, which can be integrated into an existing hand truck or platform cart or compose a new handtruck or platform cart. Power is provided by replaceable/rechargeable batteries. The batteries can be charged from a stationary power source or by a mobile power source such as that of a vehicle battery. In forward motion the speed control and motor controller provide variable power-assist levels, however, the overrunning clutch hubs allow the user to walk as quickly as desired. The e-stop switch engages and disengages the gearmotors from the power supply, thereby allowing the user to selectively switch between regenerative braking and low rolling resistance operation.

  • Publication number: 20100006668
Abstract: A pressure washer is provided. The pressure washer includes a water inlet port for receiving water from a water source. A water outlet port is in fluid communication with the water inlet port. A pump is in fluid communication with the water inlet port and the water outlet port for pressurizing the water received through the water inlet port and pumping the pressurized water through the water outlet port. An internal combustion engine powers the pump. A heat transfer unit is interposed between and in fluid communication with the water inlet port and the water outlet port. The heat transfer unit receives exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine and uses the exhaust gas to heat the water as it travels between the water inlet port and the water outlet port.

  • Patent number: 6314482
Abstract: A method and system for indexing adapters within a data processing system where the data processing system contains multiple existing adapters, where each of the multiple existing adapters is identified by particular indexing data. All adapters within the data processing system are scanned. A determination of whether or not any additional adapters have been added to the data processing system in addition to the multiple existing adapters is made. Particular indexing data is assigned to any additional adapters in response to determining that additional adapters have been added to the data processing system, where any additional adapters added to the data processing system are indexed into the data processing system without changing the particular indexing data of each of the multiple existing adapters.
