  • Patent number: 5099679
Abstract: Residual pressure and oxygen content of a pack are measured in an apparatus having a pressure measuring system and an oxygen measuring system in a branched arrangement. The oxygen content is measured by employing a vacuum pump to displace gas from the pack to an oxygen measuring system and a compression chamber which is then reset to atmosperic pressure and the oxygen content of the gas is measured. A two-way valve enables stopping displacement of the gas to the oxygen measuring system and enables the oxygen measuring system and compression chamber to be reset to atmospheric pressure.

  • Patent number: 5085348
Abstract: A reclosable container has a base and has a sidewall defining a substantially cylindrical or frustoconical shaped container portion and defining a pouring spout. The sidewall extends from the base to a container upper rim portion merged integrally with a V shaped pouring spout rim portion and with an upper rim tab which extends about and away from the pouring spout rim and which is separated from an outer edge of the pouring spout rim by a V shaped cut out slit which follows the contour of the pouring spout rim. A lid is welded to the container portion rim, the pouring spout rim and the rim tab for covering the container. A holding portion is integral with the sidewall.

  • Patent number: 4982880
Abstract: A container and teat feeding assembly includes a locking ring which secures a base of the teat to a rim integral with the container which extends away from an open end of the container. At least three projections integral with the rim extend from an edge of the rim away from the container. A lid is peelably sealed to an upper surface of the rim and has a grip tab which facilitates removal of the lid from the rim. The locking ring has a lip which abuts an upper surface of the rim and has a groove which accommodates the base of the teat between it and the rim. The locking ring also has a skirt extending from the lip about the rim edge. The skirt has a recess which accommodates the rim projections, and lugs extend from the skirt to provide for locking engagement with the rim projections.

  • Patent number: 4798605
Abstract: A device for continuously draining a pouch is adjustable for puncturing and draining the pouch. In certain embodiments, the device has an end portion capable of being affixed to a joint affixed to a pouch. An end-piece is connected with the affixing end portion by means for reciprocating the end-piece towards and away from the joint and pouch. A needle affixed to the end-piece extends towards the pipe and joint and has a length sufficient to penetrate through the joint to pierce the pouch when the end-piece is reciprocated towards the adjustable portion. A pipe is positioned relative to the end-piece for dispensing liquid flowing from a pierced pouch via the void from the joint to the end-piece.
