  • Patent number: 4741214
Abstract: A capacitive sensor is compensated for changes in the ratio of the capacitances of a pair of capacitors which result from changes in a relatively static background condition such as pressure. The compensation is achieved by providing a shunt capacitance for one of the sensor capacitors, the shunt capacitance being located such that it will not be effected by the background condition.

  • Patent number: 4065965
Abstract: An electromagnetic flowmeter having a flow tube wherein the electrodes leads pass through potting material forming part of the lining of the flow tube. The leads emerge at the exterior of the flow tube at three points, two of which substantially are at the electrodes, and one of which is between the two electrodes, via conduits embedded in the potting material and exiting from the flow tube at said points. The leads are accessible for repair or replacement.

  • Patent number: 3981190
Abstract: An electromagnetic flowmeter having its field coils inside a flow tube through which conductive fluid passes. The tube has a lining of material which is appropriate to the nature of the fluid. The coils are contained within boxes which are fixed to the inner wall of the flow tube, and embedded in or under the lining material.
