  • Publication number: 20220148096
Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus for creating, analyzing and updating a property inventory are disclosed which include receiving, from a user operating a mobile device, a request to add a new item of property to an insurance inventory associated with an insurance policy, the request including information identifying the new item, at least a first image of the new item, and information identifying a location of the new item. An insurance inventory system is operated to add the new item to an insurance inventory associated with the insurance policy, the updating including computing a total current value of the insurance inventory including the new item. A coverage engine is operated to compare coverage limits associated with the insurance policy to the total current value of the insurance inventory to determine if the total current value is within a coverage limit of the insurance policy. A response is transmitted to the user based on the determination.

  • Patent number: 9560010
Abstract: A technology is described for transferring a file from an unsecure network to a secure network. An example method may include identifying an unsecure account profile and determining that a file is to be transmitted from an unsecure network to a secure network using a one-way transfer device. In response, the file may be obtained from a file storage location and an unsecure account profile name for the unsecure account profile may be identified. A request may be made that the one-way transfer device to transmit the file and the unsecure account profile name to the secure network. The file and the unsecure account profile name may then be transmitted to the secure network, where a secure account profile corresponding to the unsecure account profile may be identified in the secure network and the file may be placed in a folder associated with the secure account profile.

  • Publication number: 20120006809
Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods for in-line evaporative deposition are described herein that include a nickel chromium wire based heating system that can reach desired operating temperatures while providing opportunities for improved temperature uniformity and energy usage. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a base member configured to be used as a sublimation crucible and the base member defines a channel in a surface of the base member. A first layer of electrically insulating material is disposed within the channel and has a substantially uniform thickness. A heater coil is disposed within the channel such that the first layer of electrically insulating material is disposed between the heater coil and the surface of the base. A second layer of electrically insulating material is disposed on the heater coil such that the heater coil is disposed between the first layer of electrically insulating material and the second layer of electrically insulating material.

  • Patent number: 7812272
Abstract: A layered mechanism for use in a circuit breaker fabricated by automated assembly operations includes a movable electrical contact mounted on a blade for movement relative to a stationary electrical contact. The major portion of the blade is substantially flat, and a handle is coupled to the blade to move said blade. A toggle spring is connected to the blade to apply a biasing force in the plane of the flat portion of the blade. The handle and blade form cooperating opposed surfaces that allow engagement of the handle with the blade so that movement of the handle can move the blade while allowing pivoting movement of the blade relative to the handle, while opposed surfaces resist upward pivoting movement of the blade when the toggle spring is attached to the blade during assembly of the circuit breaker.

  • Publication number: 20090302166
Abstract: A launch vehicle for a space station includes a crew transport vehicle having an orbiter, a cylindrical cargo module separable from the orbiter when in low earth orbit, and a first liquid fuel rocket engine section coupled to the cargo module operable to assist in placement of the launch vehicle in low earth orbit. The first engine section is separable from the cargo module in low earth orbit. The launch vehicle also includes booster rockets operable to place the launch vehicle in low earth orbit, and a liquid fuel tank, which is convertible to form living and working spaces for the space station. The space station includes rentable space that is used to recover launch and assembly costs associated with the space station.

  • Publication number: 20030079640
Abstract: A method of producing a macrocomposite linear guideway, wherein the “traditional” or existing rail material (e.g., hardened steel) is maintained as the wear resistant, low friction material in a layer having a surface intended to be in physical contact with one or more bearings, and further wherein this layer is supported by a substrate comprising a stiff, lightweight material. The wear resistant layer is attached to the substrate by a coating process. A linear guideway is also provided having a rail made of a lightweight stiff material on which is a hard bearing layer formed by a coating process.

  • Patent number: 5821839
Abstract: A circuit breaker device for interrupting current in a circuit path between a source and a load includes a first contact and a second contact cooperatively arranged in the circuit path so as to provide current from a source to a load. A trip mechanism assembly, which includes an armature, a bimetal and a yoke, is provided for interrupting the current. The armature includes an aperture in which a latch point is provided to engage a latching surface of a trip lever for latching the trip lever thereon. The amount of current that is required to cause the trip mechanism to interrupt the circuit path is determined by the amount of overlap between the latching surface and the latch point. This overlap is adjusted by bending a calibration plate by tightening a calibration screw which extends through an aperture in a circuit breaker housing and a slotted aperture in the calibration plate. A substantially square shaped nut secures the calibration screw tightly against the housing.
