Abstract: A porous mold is provided for forming ceramic products from a ceramic fluid mixture formed of a suspension of ceramic material in a liquid. A suction device is arranged for extracting or withdrawing at least part of the liquid through the porous mold. An actuator reciprocally displaces the first and second half-molds of the porous mold to form a chamber and to vary the volume of the chamber. A method for forming ceramic products includes the steps of pouring in a porous mold a ceramic fluid mixture formed of a suspension of ceramic material in a liquid, extracting at least part of the liquid through the porous mold and pressing the ceramic fluid mixture by reciprocally moving first and second half-molds of the porous mold.
