Patent number: 8185455Abstract: A system for auditing telecommunication billing data comprises a rule-construction user interface and an audit component. The rule-construction user interface comprises a plurality of rule condition parameter menus to construct an audit rule for at least one telecommunication billing attribute. In a particular embodiment, before baselining the audit rule, a user can test rule conditions against actual data, and the user can compare multiple versions of a single audit rule to determine which version successfully identifies exceptions. The audit component is to perform an audit of a telecommunication billing data set for exceptions to the audit rule constructed using the rule-construction user interface. Once identified, the exceptions can be assigned to additional tool users to assist in exception investigation and maintenance using an exception maintenance component.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2005Date of Patent: May 22, 2012Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Euly Legro, Gideon Juve, Kin Chan, Jorge Pastoral, Jr., Robert Rich, Kelly Stephenson, Jack Fine, Michael L. Patent number: 7769651Abstract: A billing data extraction and processing system for use in connection with a first billing system and a second billing system is disclosed. The billing data extraction and processing system includes a first input to receive rated billing data from the first billing system, a second input to receive rated billing data from the second billing system, and a data processing module, the data processing module responsive to the first input and to the second input, the data processing module processing the aggregated data extracted from at least one of the first and the second billing system. A first set of aggregated billing data at a first point in a billing period of the first billing system and a second set of aggregated billing data at a second point in the billing period of the first billing system are extracted and received at the first input.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2003Date of Patent: August 3, 2010Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Jack Fine, Euly LeGro, Mehran Habibl, Kin Kwok Chan

Patent number: 7720759Abstract: A system assures revenue reconciliation of customer billing and vendor settlements for multimedia services, including voice over IP, provided through a network. The system includes a data repository configured to store a plurality of tables, each table including data collected from a plurality of network elements in the network and relating to at least one of customer usage, mediation, customer billing and vendor settlement. The system also includes a processor configured to execute an alert rule based on data retrieved from at least one table stored in the data repository. The alert rule includes a comparison between the at least one table and at least one other table of the plurality of tables. The processor triggers an alert associated with the alert rule when a corresponding alert rule threshold is exceeded based on the comparison, and initiates reporting of the triggered alert.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2007Date of Patent: May 18, 2010Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Jack Fine, Elizabeth Deshong, Marie Jennifer Lim, Ailene Kim, Euly LeGro, Senthil Kumar
