  • Publication number: 20140152266
Abstract: A battery management system and a driving method are provided. The battery management system performs a bleeding operation at a moment that a voltage of each cell becomes a reference voltage during an initial charging operation to smoothly change a slope of a charge voltage. Accordingly, the charging time of the cell initially charging at the low voltage is increased, thereby reducing the entire cell balancing period.

  • Publication number: 20140145682
Abstract: A battery management circuit and a battery management system including the same are provided. The battery management circuit is coupled to a plurality of battery cells, controls an input of a first pin to correspond to an input of a second pin, and determines a level of a receiving current based on a receiving signal that is input through the first pin. The battery management circuit includes a gate driving circuit including an on-transistor and an off-transistor in which a gate signal that is generated based on the receiving signal is input to a gate. A power supply voltage that is supplied from the plurality of battery cells is coupled to the second pin.

  • Publication number: 20140016239
Abstract: The present invention relates to a threshold voltage and delay time setting circuit, and a battery management system including the same. The setting circuit is connected to a set resistor and a set capacitor through a pin. The setting circuit includes a threshold voltage setter for setting a threshold voltage according to resistance of the set resistor, and a delay setter for determining a count frequency according to capacitance of the set capacitor and setting a delay time according to the determined count frequency.

  • Publication number: 20130293109
Abstract: The present invention relates to an LED driver IC, a driving method of the LED driver IC, and an LED light emission device using the LED driver IC. The LED light emission device includes an LED string, a power switch supplying power to the LED string, a dimming switch controlling light emission duty of the LED string, and an LED driver IC controlling switching operation of the power switch and the dimming switch. The LED driver IC senses a difference between a control electrode voltage of the dimming switch and a sense voltage generated according to a current flowing to the dimming switch, and triggers the OCP operation according to a result of comparison between the sensed voltage and a predetermined OCP reference voltage.

  • Publication number: 20120176038
Abstract: The present invention relates to an LED emitting device. An LED emitting device includes an LED channel having a plurality of LEDs coupled in series and a ground adjacent to the LED channel. A converter of the LED emitting device generates a voltage for activation of the LED channel by converting an input voltage. The LED emitting device includes a protection circuit determining whether the LED channel is grounded by sensing a current flowing to the ground.
