  • Patent number: 8466876
Abstract: A terminal includes a lower housing; an upper housing slidably installed with respect to the lower housing; and a pressing member with both ends being supported by the lower and upper housings, respectively, for providing variable levels of pressure in diverse directions according to a sliding position of the upper housing with respect to the lower housing, wherein one end of the pressing member is movably linked to the lower housing. The small-sized pressing member provides a maximum level of pressure to facilitate the sliding movement of the upper housing with respect to the lower housing. Thus, space utilization can be improved.

  • Patent number: 7561375
Abstract: A disk drive assembly including a disk drive, a bracket for containing the disk drive, and a damper for absorbing an impact transmitted to the disk drive. The damper may have a shape of a ring to encircle a corner of the disk drive and may be formed of an elastic material to buffer an impact transmitted between the disk drive and the bracket. Particularly, since the width and/or diameter of the damper may be formed with a minimized size, the damper is capable of providing sufficient buffering properties. In addition, the space occupied by the damper may further be minimized. Thus, since the space occupied by the disk drive assembly may be reduced, it is possible to favorably apply the assembly to a portable electronic device.

  • Patent number: 7486509
Abstract: A bracket for a disk drive, including: a base plate containing the disk drive; a side wall portion vertically protruded from an end portion of the base plate; and a displacement portion extended from the side wall portion and bending due to a vibration transmitted by making contact with the disk drive. Accordingly, a bracket according to the present invention has an improved buffering ability without installing a buffer. Also, the bracket can not only effectively protect a disk drive from an external impact but also be applied to an electric device such as a portable device. Also, a bracket according to another embodiment can prevent mutual interference between circuits provided on the bracket.

  • Publication number: 20060154619
Abstract: A semi-automatic swing device for a swing-type mobile terminal including a body, and a swing housing slidably mounted to an upper surface of the body, in which the swing housing slides in parallel on the upper surface the body. The semi-automatic swing device includes a base plate, a swing plate slidably and rotatably mounted to the base plate while being opposite to the base plate, and a semi-automatic power drive interposed between the base plate. The semi-automatic power drive applies a moment force to be rotated in a counterclockwise direction to the swing plate if the semi-automatic power drive pivots up to a desired angle, and applies a moment force to be rotated in a clockwise direction to the swing plate if the semi-automatic power drive pivots above a desired angle.
