The apparatus for displaying a video content includes an input part configured to receive a pause command, an image processor configured to stop reproducing the video content and display a still image at a pause time on a display in response to the pause command being input, and a controller configured to control the image processor to sequentially change the still image displayed on the display to another still image in response to an image change command being input while the still image is being displayed.

Abstract: Shutter-type three-dimensional (3D) glasses used with a display apparatus for displaying a stereoscopic image, and a driving method thereof are provided. The shutter-type 3D glasses include a shutter which includes a left-eye shutter and a right-eye shutter alternately opened and closed in sync with a left-eye image and a right-eye image; a signal receiver which receives a synchronous signal for driving the shutter from the display apparatus; and a shutter driver which determines whether a synchronous signal is normal or abnormal, compensates the synchronous signal if the synchronous signal is abnormal, and supplies the compensated synchronous signal to the shutter.

Abstract: A display apparatus which receives a signal containing at least one of appendix information and video information, processes and displays the received signal, wherein the display apparatus includes an appendix signal extracting unit which extracts an appendix signal corresponding to the appendix information contained in the received signal; and a controller which reads the appendix information corresponding to the appendix signal that is extracted by the appendix signal extracting unit at a predetermined read-time interval, from the appendix signal extracting unit, and decodes the read appendix information. Thus, a display apparatus and a control method thereof are provided which can effectively read appendix information without supporting an interrupt method for reading the appendix information, and which can thereby display an appendix screen.
