Abstract: In a method for ameliorating or treating a respiratory disease, a composition including a Lysimachia mauritiana extract as effective component is administered to a subject in need thereof. Since the Lysimachia mauritiana extract is effective in reducing the production amount of the chemokine RANTES, an inflammatory mediator, from bronchial epithelial cells, which are respiratory cells, the composition can be advantageously used as a functional health food or medicine for respiratory diseases including asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a communicator configured to communicate with a server, a user input configured to receive a user's input, a storage configured to store software for operating the image processing apparatus, and a processor configured to determine whether the software stored in the storage is required to be updated in response to the user's input to the user input of making a request for a user support service about the image processing apparatus, to update the stored software with update software provided by the server if it is determined that the software needs to be updated, and to process the user support service if it is determined that the software does not need to be updated.

The electronic blackboard apparatus includes: a display unit configured to display a screen divided into a plurality of areas; a user interface (UI) unit configured to receive a writing input in at least one of the plurality of areas; a microphone unit configured to receive a user voice; a storage unit configured to store the received user voice as a voice file; and a controller configured to control the electronic blackboard apparatus to store the user voice, which is received through the microphone unit in response to the writing input being received in the at least one area, as a voice file corresponding to at least one area and display a graphical user interface (GUI) corresponding to a voice file in a corresponding area according to a preset event. Therefore, a user can easily search for and hear a conversation content associated with a content written on the electronic blackboard apparatus, and thus convenience and satisfaction of the user is increased.

Abstract: A method and a system for advertising on the Internet, which provide a plurality of advertisements in limited areas on a web page. The method includes the steps of: (a) grouping advertisements which can be displayed in at least one predetermined area of a web page; (b) determining a sequence for the advertisements included in the groups according to predetermined criteria; (c) assigning channel numbers to the advertisements on the basis of the determined sequence; and (d) establishing a database to connect the predetermined areas to the groups of advertisements and the channel numbers. Therefore, a web page provider can increase advertising revenues, various advertisements can be provided to a user, and the user can be made to stay connected to the corresponding site for a longer period of time.
