  • Patent number: 9455083
Abstract: Provided is a partial discharge detection device for a transformer, and a transformer using the same. An on-load tap changer is provided on one side of the outer casing of a transformer, and is partitioned from the inside of the outer casing by a shielding wall. A drain pipe is formed on one side of the outer surface of the outer casing. A drain valve is installed in the drain pipe. A configuration for detecting a partial discharge signal generated within the transformer is installed in the drain pipe. That is, a detector body is installed within the drain pipe and the drain valve. A connection mounting member is installed in an end portion of the drain valve. The detector body penetrates the connection mounting member. In the meantime, a portion, such as the on-load tap changer, is partitioned from the internal space of the outer casing by the shielding wall.
