  • Patent number: 6264223
Abstract: A bicycle passenger carrier for a child includes a longitudinally extending body having a front end and a rear end, with a passenger seat disposed medially between the two ends. The rear end of the body includes a rear clevis to engage the seat post of a bicycle frame in close fit. The passenger seat includes a curved seat back extending upwardly from the body. At the front end of the body, a forward portion extends downwardly and includes a front clevis adapted to engage either the oblique down tube of a woman's bike or the horizontal tube of a man's bike. A pair of bolt holes extend through the forward portion to receive a bolt that retains the front end on the bicycle. Extending upwardly at the front end of the body is a pommel that provides a hand rest for the passenger, and also serves as a support for a foot rest assembly. The foot rest assembly includes a platform suspended by a strap assembly from the pommel.

  • Patent number: 5333743
Abstract: An improved clothes hook assembly includes a hanger web having a serpentine configuration having multiple peaks and valleys spaced along the length of the web, with short linear segments extending between the adjacent peaks and valleys. The cross-sectional configuration of the web comprises a broad T-shape defined by continuous upper and lower flanges extending from respecting upper and lower edges of the web, the flanges being contiguous with the outer surface of the web. The web is preferably integrally formed and includes a plurality of holes for securing the web to a vertical structural member such as a wall or door. A plurality of hooks are adapted to be removably secured to the web. Each hook includes a medial linear portion, and a lower arm having a U configuration depending from the medial portion. An upper arm projects obliquely upwardly from the medial portion, and both the upper and lower arms terminate distally in ball-shaped ends. The upper and lower arms are disposed in a common hook plane.

  • Patent number: 4871139
Abstract: A portable book stand for supporting an open book or other reading material includes a base member comprising a base panel and a front panel extending upwardly from one edge thereof at an acute angular relationship thereto. A support member includes a support panel and a bottom panel extending from one edge thereof an an oblique angular relationship thereto. A slot extends through the support panel of the support member directly adjacent to the bottom panel, the slot being dimensioned to receive the base panel of the base member therethrough in slidable fashion. Thusly assembled, the bottom panel and the base panel rest atop a supporting surface, and the front panel and support panel of the support panel are disposed generally parallel and spaced apart so that the lower edge of an open book may be retained on said base panel between the front panel and the support panel, the spine of the book inclined against and supported by the support panel.
