    Abstract: Provided is a transmitter apparatus in a MIMO wireless communication system. The transmitter apparatus includes a controller and a space-time encoder. The controller generates a space-time encoding code according to a multiplexing order, the number of transmitter antennas, and the number of receiver antennas. The space-time encoder space-time-encodes a TX signal using the generated space-time-encoding code.
