Abstract: The invention relates to new formulations for cleaning hard surfaces containing—based on the formulation—1 to 50% by weight of alkyl oligoglucosides corresponding to formula (I): R1O—[G]p  (I) in which R1 is an at least partly branched alkyl radical containing 9 to 11 carbon atoms, G is a glucose unit and p is a number of 1.4 to 2.0. The products are distinguished by an improved cleaning performance in relation to formulations based on linear alkyl oligoglucosides.

Abstract: Cationic polymers comprising at least 40 mole percent monomer units of the formula (I): wherein n is 2 to 4, R1 is hydrogen or methyl, and R2, R3 and R4 independently are hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl or C1-4 alkenyl, and X− is an anion selected from the group consisting of halide anions and monoalkyl anions of sulfuric acid semiester are used as soil-release compounds in hard surface cleaners.

Abstract: A disinfectant-containing hard surface cleaner composition having increased bacteria count-reducing efficacy is provided by adding thereto a mixture of an alkyl or alkenyl oligoglycoside and certain C.sub.8 -C.sub.18 alkyl ethers.

Abstract: A water-containing cleaning composition having a pH value of 3.0 to 6.5 containing 0.1% to 50% by weight of at least one alkyl glycoside corresponding to formula (I):R.sup.1 --O--?G!.sub.xwherein R.sup.1 is a branched or linear, saturated or unsaturated alkyl group containing 6 to 11 carbon atoms, G is a glycose or xylose unit and x is a number of 1 to 10, 0. 1 % to 30% by weight of at least one fatty alcohol ether corresponding to formula (II) ##STR1## in which R.sup.2 is an alkyl radical containing 6 to 12 carbon atoms, m is a number of 0.5 to 3.0 and n is a number of 4.0 to 12.0, based on the weight of the composition, and which is free from hydrotropes based on organic acids.

Abstract: The invention relates to a liquid mixture of propylene oxide-ethylene oxide derivatives of alcohols corresponding to the following formulaR--O--C.sub.3 H.sub.5 O.sub.1-2 --(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 O).sub.6-8 --Hin which R is a linear alkyl or alkenyl radical which may be methyl-branched in the 2-position, and which has the following chain distribution: C.sub.8 =0 to 5%, C.sub.9-10 =75 to 90%, C.sub.11-12 =5 to 15%, C.sub.13-14 =4 to 10%, C.sub.15-16 =0 to 3%. By virtue of its physical and washing-active properties, the mixing is suitable as a readily biodegradable substitute for alkylphenol ethoxylates.

Abstract: A liquid cleaning preparation for hard surfaces comprising an amphoteric polymer compound containing both anionic and cationic centers in the molecular thereof. The polymer is obtained by copolymerization of a cationic vinyl monomer with an anionic vinyl polymer, and in a 0.01% solution of water having a German hardness of 16.degree.d produces irreversible hydrophilization of polyvinyl chloride with increments in the wetting tension of at least 3 mN/m.The preparation may contain an anionic, nonionic, cationic or amphoteric surfactant or mixtures thereof. The polymer compound is present in an amount of from about 0.01% to about 10% by weight, based on the weight of the preparation, and the surfactant is present in a weight ratio of polymer to surfactant of from about 20:1 to about 1:1.

Abstract: A composition of matter, preferably a liquid cleaning preparation for hard surfaces, comprising from 1 to 30, preferably 2 to 30, parts by weight of:(a) adducts of ethylene oxide, preferably from 3 to 20 moles, with aliphatic hydroxyamines, preferably vicinal internal or terminal hydroxyamines, having a linear alkyl chain (C.sub.10-20) and containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkylamine residue; and(b) linear alkylaryl, preferably alkylbenzene, sulfonates or alkane sulfonates wherein (a) and (b) are in a ratio of from 1:1 to 1:18. The liquid preparation may contain water and other suitable cleaning ingredients.

Abstract: Liquid cleanser compositions for cleaning hard surfaces comprising an aqueous solution containing from 2 to 30% by weight of a mixture consisting of:(a) adducts of 3 to 30 mols of ethylene oxide onto vicinal alkanediols having 10 to 20 carbon atoms or monoalkyl ethers of said alkanediols with 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl, and(b) linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acids and/or linear alkane sulfonic acids, each with 8 to 20 carbon atoms in the alkyl or alkane, and their water-soluble salts, in a weight ratio of a:b of from 1:1 to 1:20.
