Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining presence of an object to be tidied in a washroom. A beam is supplied to a surface of the washroom at a first location. A reflected beam received from the surface of the washroom or received from an object in the path of the beam to the surface is detected. The presence of the object is determined from feedback from the beam based on a comparison of the feedback with a detection result when the beam reflects from the surface at the first location. An object to be tidied output signal is issued indicating that an object to be tidied is present based on the determination on the presence of an object.

Abstract: Disclosed is a wipe dispenser for dispensing a continuous roll of centrally fed wipes. The dispenser includes a storage compartment for storing the roll of wipes. The storage compartment is made from a bottom wall, at least one side wall and a top wall including a dispensing opening. The dispenser includes a lid hingeably attached to the storage compartment. The lid includes a first inner cavity defined by a first inner surface. A maximum distance from the dispensing opening to the first inner surface is within a range that allows for an easy to grab portion of the wipe to stand essentially erect from the dispensing opening inside the lid when the lid is closed.

A dispensing opening is located between the front wall and the support surface, and at least one guide element is arranged to support a leading panel of a first towel adjacent the front wall and a leading edge of the leading panel parallel to the lower edge of the front wall.

The method includes the steps of embossing first and second webs of flexible material separately between a respective embossing roll and a respective impression roll; applying glue to one side of each of the embossed first and second webs; feeding the first and second webs and a third web separately into a laminating nip. The third web is between the first and second webs, and the glue is applied to sides of the first and second webs facing the third web so that the first, second and third webs are combined in a single step. The laminating nip is formed between the first embossing roll and a laminating roll.

Abstract: A centreflow web roll dispenser has a housing including a first section for attaching the dispenser to a support surface, a second section at least partially enclosing a radial circumference of a web roll, a third section enclosing a lower part of the web roll, a fourth section enclosing at least an upper part of the web roll, and an exit port in connection with the third section for dispensing a web from the web roll wherein a cross-section through the dispenser taken perpendicular to a central axis through a hole in the web roll has a major axis and a minor axis, the major axis being substantially parallel to the support surface for the dispenser. A web roll for use in such a dispenser and a method for compressing such a web roll are also disclosed.

Abstract: Method for producing a multi-ply web comprising at least three plies of flexible material, such as paper and nonwoven material and a multi-ply product produced according to the method. A first and second ply are glued together with a first glue pattern and a second and third ply are glued together with a second glue pattern which, as seen in the thickness direction of the multi-ply web, is substantially aligned with the first glue pattern.

Abstract: Method for producing a multi-ply web of flexible tissue material, such as tissue paper and nonwoven material, by gluing the plies. Glue is transferred in subsequent steps to a first web shaped flexible material via at least two patterned glue transfer rolls, in a pattern corresponding to the pattern of the glue transfer rolls. A second web shaped material is brought in contact with the glue bearing side of the first web shaped material in at least one press nip between at least one patterned lamination roll and an impression roll. The at least one lamination roll has a three-dimensional pattern having a shape and configuration so as to apply pressure to the combined first and second web shaped materials substantially only just opposite at least some of the glue bearing areas of the first web shaped material, and is driven in registry with the first and/or second glue transfer roll. A multi-ply product produced according to the method is also disclosed.
