    Abstract: A restraint for securing and protecting medical tubing. The restraint device is comprised of an anchor plate having an outer surface and an inner surface. The anchor plate also includes a receiver upon which a means for retaining tubing is connected. The retaining means has a tube clamping portion which holds the tubing and an anchoring portion which secures the retaining means to the anchor plate. The device can preferably be non-adhesively positioned in an area of the patient's body through a fastening means located on the anchor plate. In addition, a cover is connected to the anchor plate for protecting and further securing medical tubing. The all-plastic device can be cleaned, sanitized and reused if desired.

    Abstract: A radiation therapy skin marking device which may be used to delineate a radiation therapy portal area on a patient's skin surface. The device includes a set of radiation therapy skin markers which are releasably attached to a backing liner and include an adhesive surface such that the markers may be releasably attached to a patient's skin surface. The markers include ink-printed lines on the adhesive surface so as to facilitate radiation therapy treatments by more obviously defining a radiation therapy portal area. Ink is transferred onto the skin surface from the adhesive surface by depositing it onto the skin or by absorption into the skin so that the marking lines are delineated on the skin surface when the markers are detached.

    Abstract: A surgical drain for draining wounds is disclosed. The drain has a tube-like body forming a lumen. The body of the drain includes a plurality of perforations therein. The drain also has a plunger for removing debris from the lumen and perforations of the drain. The plunger has a scraper, a line and a handle. The scraper of the plunger is generally located in the lumen of the body. The handle of the plunger is generally located so as to be accessible to a user. The line of the plunger generally extends through the lumen and connects the scraper and handle. The drain may have more than one plunger.

    Abstract: A set of post-surgical gross pathology specimen marking devices which may be used to identify various surfaces of pathology specimens is presented. The device includes a set of pathology specimen markers which are releasably attached to a holder. The markers disclosed are of various shapes and designs, and each includes a gripper element. The markers are designed such that the gripper element may be manipulated to allow a portion of a pathology specimen to be pinched, pierced, or clipped by the gripper element thereby attaching the marker to the specimen. The markers are designed so they may be manipulated by using a tool (such as forceps) to attach the specimen marker to a pathology specimen in a matter of seconds.

    Abstract: The device of the present application is an adhesive surface marker comprising a gel sealed by a casing and membrane structure. The markers of the present invention can include a cavity for receiving imaging materials. The markers provide means for marking patients and diagnostic images taken of those patients through different methods including X-Ray, Computerized Tomography, Positron Emission Tomograph, and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging among others, retain their shape and size, and do not suffer from water-loss which can lead to reduced density to certain radio-graphic modalities (e.g. MRI).
