  • Patent number: 11059748
Abstract: A lime hydrator integrated into a flue gas desulfurization system or other industrial system is provided that provides an in-situ variable rate of cured hydrated lime production for a variable supply rate of the in-situ produced cured hydrated lime for use within a flue gas stream as a moistened hydrated lime for a reduction of acid gas present in a flue gas stream. Also provided is a method of using a lime hydrator integrated into a flue gas desulfurization system or other industrial system to provide in-situ a variable production rate of cured hydrated lime for a variable supply rate of the in-situ produced cured hydrated lime for use within a flue gas stream as a moistened hydrated lime for a reduction of acid gas present in a flue gas stream.

  • Patent number: 6134839
Abstract: A door-mounted injury guard for prevention of clamping injuries from closing doors. The injury guard includes guard rods which are positioned in such a manner that as calculated from below they cover at least a major part of the gap that forms between the door leaf and the door frame side, towards which the door leaf pivots. In addition, the guard has a plate which is pivotally mounted on the same door frame side adjacent a gap that widens as the door opens. The plate resiliently abuts against the door leaf and bridges the entire gap in each and every open position of the door.

  • Patent number: 5951234
Abstract: The invention concerns an improved device in pallet loaders, comprising an upright frame (1) and a pair of horizontal lifting fork members (2) which may be raised and lowered together with said frame (1) by means of a lifting mechanism. The lifting fork members (2) are equipped at their outermost end with one support wheel (4) each, which wheels are attached to an articulated arm (14) arranged to be pivoted downwards. The frame (1) and the lifting fork members (2) may be raised and lowered by means of a rack (6) which is connected via a cable, wire on chain (10) to an articulated, two-armed rocker arm (13). In turn, the latter is connected to the articulated arm (14) by means of a traction rod (15) which is associated with the arm (14). Upon upwards motion of the rack (6) and thus of the frame (1) a pulling force on the cable (10) will be transferred via the rocker arm (13) and the traction rod (15) to the articulated arm (14), which then swings downwards, thus raising the lifting fork members (2).

  • Patent number: 5217504
Abstract: In a method for controlling the current pulse supply to the discharge electrodes of an electrostatic precipitator unit in order to achieve maximum separation of dust from gases conducted between the discharge electrodes and the collecting electrodes of the unit at issue, current pulses (I) with a given pulse current are supplied to the discharge electrodes. The pulse frequency is varied, and instantaneous values (U.sub.p, U(I=O), U(I=O+1.6)) corresponding to one another, for the voltage (U) between the discharge electrodes and the collecting electrodes are measured for a number of pulse frequencies. Then, the current pulse supply to the discharge electrodes is set to the pulse frequency at which the highest instantaneous value has been measured.

  • Patent number: 3985544
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of combined production of electrical energy and crude iron, comprising reducing iron oxides while keeping the temperature below the melting point of the crude iron during a pre-reduction and above said melting point during a final reduction. The pre-reduction is made by introducing carbonaceous material and the material containing iron oxides into a fluid bed containing solid carbonaceous material, producing reducing gases in the fluid bed by partial combustion of the carbonaceous material with air/or oxygen gas, pre-reducing the iron oxides by said reducing gases until the material has achieved a metallization degree of 30-80 %, most of the heat requirement of the pre-reduction being covered by said combustion. The pre-reduced material is finally reduced and molten by being brought into contact with carbon, and the heat requirement of this final reduction and melting process is covered by electric heating.

  • Patent number: 3932173
Abstract: A method for reducing iron oxide in a melt of iron by maintaining a reduction layer on the surface of the molten iron and passing the molten metal from the melt through vertical channels which communicate at the bottom of the metal melt an with a space at the top of the melt which is above that of the reduction layer so as to pass the melt including the oxide there through the reduction layer, the molten metal being lifted up through the channel by means of a gas lift pump action and heating the molten metal by inductive heating while it is flowing through the channel.
