  • Patent number: 7494074
Abstract: A sprayhead especially suited for coupling to an extension hose for use in a pull-out kitchen faucet, the sprayhead including a selector subassembly for choosing between both spray and aerate modes, and a volume control built in to the sprayhead. The selector subassembly is engaged to a detent finger-button mounted on the housing that selectively diverts water flowing through an aerated flow path to an alternate spray flow path, thereby allowing manual selection between spray mode and aerate mode. The volume control is a slide switch on the housing and coupled to a rotary valve assembly for allowing the user to adjust the flow volume when in spray mode without affecting water volume in the aerate mode. When in aerate mode water is expelled from the sprayhead through an aerator output, and when in spray mode water is expelled through a series of nozzles oriented radially around the aerator output.

  • Publication number: 20070144583
Abstract: A faucet assembly includes a valve subassembly having a valve mechanism and an actuator having an axis. An underbody includes a valve end body for receiving the valve subassembly for connection thereto. A deck plate is configured for coupling to the underbody. A handle adapter is coupled to said faucet assembly to be non-rotatable with respect to the deck plate. A handle subassembly has a hub and a valve operator. The valve operator is rotatably coupled to the hub. The valve operator is connected to the actuator of the valve subassembly to operate the valve subassembly when the valve operator is rotated about the axis to move in relation to the deck plate. The hub is attached to the deck plate via the handle adapter.

  • Publication number: 20020185553
Abstract: A slim, ergonomic spray head includes a shell that defines a smooth tubular shape. A body is disposed in the shell and includes two water passages disposed in spaced-apart relation, forming an opening therebetween. A diverter for selecting between an aerator and a sprayer includes a piston and a trigger actuator that are completely contained within the smooth tubular shape. The engagement of the piston and actuator is located in the opening between the passages. The body further includes an outlet that directs an outflow of water along the longitudinal axis of the body. By matching the tubular shape to the shape of a faucet, the spray head appears to be an extension of the faucet, rather than a conventional bulky pull-out sprayer, providing a more pleasing appearance.

  • Patent number: 6123106
Abstract: A thrust washer for a mounting assembly disposed below an opening in a deck for mounting a faucet above the opening in the deck. A plurality of water lines extend through the opening in the deck to be connected to the faucet. The thrust washer being wider than the opening in the deck and formed in the shape of a "W" with a central opening at its midpoint for connection thereof to the mounting assembly. The thrust washer has a pair of outer legs defining wings which create an enlarged space above the central opening thereof adjacent the top of the "W". The thrust washer defines a solid, squat member having a height substantially equal to one-half the distance of the enlarged space thereof.
