  • Patent number: 9185542
Abstract: A system and method for measuring the quantity, type, transmission quality and visit history of mobile communication devices within a defined geographical area is disclosed herein. A data server is configured to receive new transmission data for mobile devices from each of a plurality of sensor devices and associate the new transmission data with a corresponding sensor device of the plurality of sensor devices. Sensor devices positioned within the venue are utilized to determine a geographical location of a mobile communication device based on a statistical analysis of received signal strength at each of the sensor devices.

  • Patent number: 7814274
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for dynamically binding a server to a remote disk in a data center is provided. In a data center, servers and storage devices that manage multiple remote disks communicate over a switched fabric by using a standard protocol suite. The servers, storage devices and the switched fabric constitute a Storage Area Network (SAN). The devices present on the SAN are assigned a virtual identity, independent of their physical identity. The virtual identity of the servers facilitates the dynamic instantiation of the server images located on multiple remote disks on the servers.

Date of Patent: October 12, 2010
    Assignee: Scalent Systems, Inc.
Inventors: Michael T. Howard, Jared M. Oberhaus, Evan Bigall, Lawrence Stein
  • Patent number: 7574491
Abstract: A system and a method for implementing a virtual data center. In which, the functions to be performed by a computer, and the access the computer equipment is required to have to the storage and network facilities, are decoupled from the hardware, and instantiated dynamically on any suitable computer equipment, without any manual intervention. In a virtual data center, all the physical resources are virtualized and arranged dynamically, to meet the functional requirements of the data center.

Date of Patent: August 11, 2009
    Assignee: Scalent Systems
