Publication number: 20240167939Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure disclose methods and systems for heat exchange in an opto-fluidic instrument. The opto-fluidic instrument includes a sample interface module (SIM), an illumination module, a camera module, and a reagent deck. A coolant from a coolant reservoir is directed into one or more of the modules so that heat exchange occurs at each module with the coolant. The heated coolant from the one or more modules flows to a radiator for cooling, for example, with fans flowing ambient air over the radiator, before the cooled coolant is returned to the coolant reservoir for subsequent use in cooling the modules.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 13, 2023Publication date: May 23, 2024Applicant: 10x Genomics, Inc.Inventors: Evan DeJARNETTE, Tyler DRAKE, Hendricus MARINDRA, Jack HERRERA, Eric EVJE, Alexander Post KINDWALL, David MORGAN

Publication number: 20240159292Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure disclose mitigating internal and external vibrational disturbances in opto-fluidic instrument. In various embodiments, the resonance frequency ranges and/or the vibrational frequency ranges of various modules and components of the opto-fluidic instrument may be selected to avoid resonances from occurring in the opto-fluidic instrument, thereby mitigating vibrations from internal and external sources that may distort the imaging of samples in the opto-fluidic instrument.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 9, 2023Publication date: May 16, 2024Applicant: 10x Genomics, Inc.Inventors: Vu Huy NGUYEN, Denis PRISTINSKI, David MORGAN, Evan DEJARNETTE, Tyler DRAKE, David HOFFMAN

Publication number: 20230289806Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices described herein can configure a cryptocurrency wallet or other blockchain-based account to be self-aware and alert the owner of the wallet to one or more potentially fraudulent situations occurring with at least one account they own. The wallet may be a hardware-based cryptocurrency wallet or may be a blockchain-based account operating by an external financial institution that allows for the management of cryptocurrency assets. The self-aware wallet can be configured to track all relevant previously known and/or approved transactions associated with a user's private cryptocurrency key. A subsequent scan on one or more blockchains is performed to detect new transactions associated with the user's private key. If a newly detected blockchain transaction is not in the list of previously known or approved user transactions, a potential compromise may be occurring. Once detected, the wallet can generate a notification to the user alerting them to the issue.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 20, 2023Publication date: September 14, 2023Inventors: Shashank AGRAWAL, Cyril GUYOT, Evan DRAKE

Patent number: 10822152Abstract: A corner protector for protecting a corner of an article includes a first side panel lying in a first plane, and a second side panel lying in a second plane. The corner protector also includes an accordion-like connection structure interconnecting the first side panel and the second side panel such that inner surfaces of the first and second side panels define an adjustable article receiving cavity therebetween.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 2017Date of Patent: November 3, 2020Assignee: FEDEX CORPORATE SERVICES, INC.Inventors: Tyler Kenney, Evan Drake Edwards

Patent number: 7709782Abstract: A device assembly (16) for a precision apparatus (10) includes a device housing (30), a device (32), a device mover assembly (34), and a measurement system (36). The device mover assembly (34) moves the device (32) relative to the device housing (30) about a first axis and about a second axis that is orthogonal to the first axis. The measurement system (36) monitors movement of the device (32). The measurement system (36) monitors movement of the device (32) and can include a first sensor assembly (260) that monitors movement about the first axis and a second sensor assembly (262) that monitors movement about a second axis. Each sensor assembly (260) (262) can include a sensor adjuster (474) (476) that adjusts the position of a portion of the respective sensor assembly (260) (262) to independently tune the sensor assemblies (260) (262) and independently enhance the performance of each sensor assembly (260) (262). Further, each sensor assembly (260) (262) can be a magnetic type sensor.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 2007Date of Patent: May 4, 2010Assignee: Newport CorporationInventors: Evan Drake Harriaman Green, Carl Iacono, Jan-Willem Pieterse

Patent number: 7271523Abstract: A mover assembly (16) that moves or positions an object (12) includes a mover output (226), an actuator (230), and a measurement system (20). The mover output (226) is connected o the object (12), and the actuator (230) causes the mover output (226) to rotate about a first axis and move along the first axis. In this embodiment, the measurement system (20) directly measures the movement of the mover output (226) and provides feedback regarding the position of the mover output (226).Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2005Date of Patent: September 18, 2007Assignee: Bookham Technology plcInventors: Andrew Zeigler, David F. Arnone, Evan Drake Harriman Green

Patent number: 7122989Abstract: A mover assembly (16) that moves or positions an object (12) includes a mover output (226), an actuator (230), and a control system (18). The mover output (226) is connected to the object (12), and the actuator (230) causes the mover output (226) to move. The control system (18) selectively directs a drive signal to the actuator (230) in a first mode and in a second mode. In the first mode, a peak voltage and a baseline voltage are sequentially directed to the actuator (230). In the second mode an intermediate voltage is directed to the actuator (230), the intermediate voltage being intermediate the peak voltage and the baseline voltage.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 2004Date of Patent: October 17, 2006Assignee: Bookham Technology plcInventor: Evan Drake Harriman Green
