  • Publication number: 20070247308
Abstract: A security system for not enabling, enabling or disabling electrical devices for deterring theft, or preventing unauthorized use of such devices. The security system comprises a plurality of electrical devices which are operationally linked via a bi-directional communication medium, which may be via a mains power supply or a microwave or radiowave medium. Programmable means are provided for controlling operation of the operative parts of the electrical devices. The programmable means may have a signal transmitting and receiving means associated with it for transmitting and receiving control signals over the communication medium.

  • Publication number: 20070006499
Abstract: A display device having a support structure and display panel is provided. The support structure generally includes a cross bar horizontally supported by first and second leg assemblies. A coupling is provided at each end of the cross bar to receive the corresponding leg assemblies. A plurality of locking mechanisms are provided for independently and releasably connecting the cross bar and the leg assemblies to the coupling without requiring the use of tools.

  • Publication number: 20050242918
Abstract: A security system (20) for not enabling, enabling or disabling electrical devices for deterring theft, or preventing unauthorised use, of such devices. The security system comprises a plurality of electrical devices (22, 24) which are operationally linked via a bi-directional communication medium, which may be via a mains power supply (26) or a microwave or radiowave medium. Each electrical device includes a programmable means (28, 30) for controlling operation of the operative parts (38, 40) of the electrical devices. Each programmable means has a signal transmitting and receiving means (32) associated with it for transmitting and receiving control signals over the communication medium (26), with the programmable means (28) of one of the electrical devices (22) being programmed as a controller for the other electrical device(s) (24).

  • Publication number: 20050072197
Abstract: A retainer clip is used for retaining a lock plug within a bore of a lock housing. The retainer clip includes a generally arcuate body disposeable about the plug outer surface and having a radial retention surface positionable generally against a housing end surface so as to prevent axial displacement of the plug along the bore. Two projections are each disposed proximal to a separate end of the body, each projection being disposeable within a separate plug opening when the body is disposed on the plug to retain the clip engaged therewith. The clip body has a hinge, a first arm portion extending between the hinge and one free end and a second arm portion extending between the hinge and the other end. The hinge is configured so that the two arm portions are deflectable generally about the hinge to move with respect to each other during installation and removal.

  • Patent number: 4572513
Abstract: An educational game including a game board, at least one game piece and an audio recording. The game board has a serpentine path located on the top face thereof. The serpentine path is broken up into a series of connected squares. The game piece is designed such that it is moved along the path as the game is played. The audio recording contains a number of mathematical problems or other questions and the answers thereto. Each question or problem is separated from its answer by a pause of predetermined duration. Each time the player of the game answers a problem or a question correctly and within the time allowed, the player advances his/her game piece along the serpentine path. The number of squares on the path and the number of questions on the recording are equal so that if a player answers all of the questions correctly, his/her game piece exactly reaches the finish space.

  • Patent number: 4503608
Abstract: A tool for and a method of inserting a printed circuit board on to a contact assembly is described in which the board is positioned between opposing contact fingers by rotating the circuit board on an alignment pin so that solder pads on the circuit board are aligned with and positioned between the contact fingers one at a time.

  • Patent number: 4376339
Abstract: A plurality of integrated circuit lead clips having a circular top opening and four resilient planar tines are positioned in a holding fixture in a rectangular matrix array. A carrier strip including a plurality of equally spaced, transversely extending projections each having a generally rectangular cross-section is positioned above a row of clips positioned in the fixture. The strip is vibrated and then lowered to pass one projection into the top opening of each clip and through the four resilient planar tines. Vibrations of the projections at the same time the tips of the projections touch the clips causes the clip to rotate in the fixture so that the planar ends of the tines orient with respect to the four flat sides of each projection. The projections are pushed through the clips so that they are held to the projections by the resiliency of the tines.
