  • Publication number: 20250254502
Abstract: A method for updating a machine learning model for vehicles is provided. The method includes calculating a benefit score for each of a pair of vehicles based on an energy for training a machine learning model and a value of training data, selecting one of the pair of vehicles having a higher benefit score as a trainer for training the machine learning model, aggregating, by the trainer, the machine learning models of the pair of vehicles, calculating an edge encounter score for each of the pair of vehicles, selecting one of the pair of vehicles having a higher edge encounter score as a representer, and uploading, by the representer, the aggregated machine learning model to an edge server.

  • Publication number: 20250249885
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for vehicular distributed machine learning that balances a tradeoff between electrical energy consumed for training a machine learning model and performance of the training. Examples include obtaining model training metrics associated with vehicles, wherein the model training metrics are based on a measure of diversity in training data stored at each respective vehicle and an estimate of energy that the vehicle may consume to train the machine learning model. The examples select a vehicle as a training client based on the obtained first one or more model training metrics; and transmit the machine learning model to the selected vehicle for training by the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9072955
Abstract: A variable-resistance kickboard apparatus includes a buoyant kickboard body having an upper surface, a lower surface, and an opening extending through the kickboard body between the upper and lower surfaces. The apparatus also includes a blade extending through the opening and slidably engaged in the opening. The blade can be raised and lowered in the opening to adjust the proportion of the blade that extends below the lower surface.

  • Publication number: 20120110912
Abstract: A drive mechanism for a vehicle movable panel is provided having a drive cable coupled to a slide mechanism disposed within a guide track by a coupling interface. The coupling interface can include a rigid support structure connected to the drive cable, a composite over-mold, and at least one load bearing zone to spread the load from a high force event from the slide mechanism. A first load bearing zone can have a foot on the rigid support structure extended into a slot on the drive mechanism, but preferably can include a second load bearing zone having a pair of fore and aft tabs extending from the rigid support structure configured to generally abut internal edges a pair of fore and after sliding pads on the sliding mechanism, the fore and after tabs connected by an over-molded continuous load bearing member.
