  • Patent number: 11246800
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a lockable canister for retaining and selectively dispensing medications is disclosed. To prevent drug diversion, a plurality of doses of medication may be loaded into the locking canister at a central pharmacy and then the canister may be locked to prevent unauthorized removal of medication in transit to a remote automated dispensing unit that may be located in a remote pharmacy. The lockable canister may include a canister housing and a canister cover that may be locked to the canister housing to enclose the plurality of doses of medication. The canister cover may include tamper evident or tamper resistant features. The canister may include one or more locking mechanisms to prevent unauthorized access to the medication in the canister in transit or before it is specifically authorized for dispensing.

  • Patent number: 10487543
Abstract: Embodiments provide a lock including an actuator that is movable between an unlocked position and a locked position, and a bolt that is movable between an extended bolt position and a retracted bolt position independent of the position of the actuator. In the extended bolt position, the bolt extends outside a body of the lock. A coupling element is arranged between the actuator and the bolt and is movable between an extended coupling position and a retracted coupling position in response to movement of the actuator between the locked position and the unlocked position. A first biasing element biases the coupling element toward the retracted coupling position, and a second biasing element couples the coupling element to the bolt and is structured to bias the bolt away from the coupling element and towards the extended bolt position.

  • Patent number: 10350628
Abstract: A fluid delivery device having a trigger actuated sprayer assembly for dispensing a liquid with features such as a bottle with a concavity, a clip around the bottle neck, a sprayer assembly with a bottle filling conduit and a translucent neck window on the sprayer assembly for viewing the bottle filling conduit. The fluid delivery system includes a bottle with a concavity in the side wall attached to a body. A pump in the body receives fluid from the bottle via a fluid inlet conduit and discharges the fluid from a fluid discharge conduit. Also provided is a kit including (i) a fluid delivery device with a bottle, and (ii) one or more fluid refill containers, wherein the bottle and the container(s) include matching indicia of the fluid such that the bottle is only filled from a container with the fluid indicated by the matching indicia.

  • Patent number: 10035214
Abstract: A tool configured to dispense consumables, such as a plurality of stackable weld clips. The tool may receive the insertion of a magazine, which may include the weld clips, a pusher, and a retention pin positioned on a cartridge skewer. The magazine may be inserted into a magazine holder assembly to provide a magazine assembly. The magazine holder assembly may include one or more movable and stationary racks that engage the pusher. The rearward lateral displacement of a spindle may displace the movable rack and electrode arms, while opening retention arms. The electrode arms, which may include clip back-up arms, may be positioned to provide a clamping force on a weld clip that is being dispensed. The forward displacement of the spindle may displace the clamped welding clip with the electrode arms, pivotally open a pawl mechanism, move the retention arms to a closed position, are result in the indexing of weld clips in the magazine assembly.

  • Publication number: 20160016188
Abstract: A fluid delivery system for dispensing fluid can include a dispenser, such as a trigger engine-type dispenser (100), configured to draw fluid up from a container. A nozzle assembly can include a nozzle (160), and a nozzle slide (112). The nozzle slide can be configured to slide and/or rotate relative to the shroud (102) to provide different dispensing modes. In alternative examples, the nozzle (160) can be configured to rotate in 30 degree increments relative to the shroud (102) to provide the different dispensing modes or the nozzle assembly can include a nozzle extension, and the nozzle extension can be configured to rotate relative to the shroud to provide different dispensing patterns out of the nozzle. In another example a first nozzle can be configured to provide one or more dispensing modes, and a second nozzle can be configured to provide a different dispensing mode than the first nozzle. Methods of dispensing fluids and methods of assembling fluid dispensers are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20130270339
Abstract: A system for labeling a patient specimen tube with identification information that includes a labeling device. The labeling device includes scanning and printing units electronically connected to a microcomputer. The scanning unit is configured to electronically read machine readable information provided on a patient identification article carried by the patient. The printing unit includes a print head. The microcomputer is programmed to receive information obtained by the scanning unit, interface with a database to correlate the received information with patient label information, format the patient label information, and prompt the printing unit to print the patient label information onto the specimen tube. In some embodiments, the database is maintained by a network server, with the labeling device electronically interfacing with the network server.
