  • Publication number: 20180004923
Abstract: An access key for a device having a fingerprint activated lock includes an electrically conductive member having surface features formed on a surface thereof that can be recognized by the fingerprint activated lock as a unique fingerprint. A second electrically conductive member is electrically coupled to the first electrically conductive member. The second electrically conductive member is electrically coupled to the body of a user such that the sensor recognizes the first electrically conductive member as a fingerprint. The second electrically conductive member is preferably a ring, stylus or gripping portion upon which the first electrically conductive member is mounted. The electrically conductive member is preferably constructed from a capacitive elastomer such as an electrically conductive silicone. The access key functions as a synthetic fingerprint to limit access to a system to a possessor of the key.

  • Patent number: 9849315
Abstract: An apparatus for extinguishing a stovetop fire including a microwave positioned above the stove top, a compartment defined in the microwave; and a closure retained in a closed position on the microwave. A projection member is positioned within the compartment, the projection member retained in a retracted position while the closure is in the closed position. A supply of fire suppressant material is retained within the compartment when the closure is in the closed position, the supply of fire suppressant material including a second burner portion positioned against the projection member. A heat responsive actuator is disposed on the microwave. When the microwave is positioned over a first burner on the stovetop, and the fire actuates the heat responsive actuator, the closure moves to an open position and the projection member moves to an extended position, the projection member forcing the second burner portion toward a second burner.

  • Publication number: 20170179994
Abstract: A protective case for a portable electronic device includes a rigid plastic frame bonded to a stretchable rubber cover and a back panel insert that can be removably inserted into a pocket in the rear of the stretchable rubber cover and plastic frame. To position a device in the case, the device is simply inserted into the front opening of the rigid plastic frame and stretchable rubber cover such that the edges of the stretchable cover stretch over the device and secure the device in the case. A variety of different removable back panels allow the stand to be easily reconfigured to include a stand for the device case, a pocket adapted to hold payment cards, a folding style wallet, a mirror or a fabric covering.

  • Publication number: 20170157440
Abstract: An apparatus for extinguishing a stovetop fire including a container detachably mountable to a microwave positioned above the stove top, the container having a closure retained in a closed position on the container. A projection member is connected to the container, the projection member retained in a retracted while the closure is in the closed position. A supply of fire suppressant material is retained within the container when the closure is in the closed position, the supply of fire suppressant material including a second burner portion positioned against the projection member. A heat responsive actuator is disposed on the container. When the container is mounted to the microwave over a first burner, and the fire actuates the heat responsive actuator, the closure moves to an open position and the projection member moves to an extended position, the projection member forcing the second burner portion toward the second burner.

  • Patent number: 9604081
Abstract: An apparatus for extinguishing a fire on a stovetop, the apparatus including a container detachably mountable to a microwave positioned above the stove top, the container having a closure movable between an open and closed position on the container. A projection member is connected to the container, the projection member movable with respect to the container between a retracted and extended position. A supply of fire suppressant material is retainable within the container when the closure is in the closed position. A heat responsive actuator is disposed on the container. When the container is mounted to the microwave over a first burner, and the fire on the stovetop actuates the heat responsive actuator, the closure moves to the open position and the projection member moves to the extended position, the projection member forcing a second burner portion of the supply of fire suppressant material toward the second burner.

  • Publication number: 20150227226
Abstract: A protective cover for a device having a touchscreen and a fingerprint sensor includes a Polyethylene terephthalate touchscreen cover that covers the touchscreen while allowing the touchscreen to be used. A die cut opening in the touchscreen cover corresponds to a location of the fingerprint sensor and a flexible membrane covers the opening. The flexible membrane is preferably constructed from Thermoplastic polyurethane that is bonded to the touchscreen cover. The touchscreen cover is then glued to an injected polycarbonate plastic rigid frame to for the front of a protective device case assembly.
