Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide sustained release formulations that include active ingredients and release modulating matrices. Also provided are related methods of preparation and methods of addressing therapeutic indications with sustained release formulations described herein. Included are sustained release formulations with complement inhibitors (e.g., C5 inhibitory cyclic polypeptides, zilucoplan, and/or active metabolites or variants thereof) for treating complement-related indications.
