Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing pattern analysis of a digital signal containing at least one waveform, detects a fiducial point of each waveform of the digital signal; captures slope transition features separated by interval features of each of the waveforms of the digital signal; creates a signature for each waveform based on the captured slope transition and interval features of each of said waveforms; determines the closest proximity of the signature to one of a plurality of previously determined classifications of signatures; creates a new classification with the signature if the closest proximity has a value less than a predetermined threshold value; and adds the signature to the closest classification if the closest proximity has a value at least equal to the predetermined threshold value.

Abstract: A blood collection bag is suspended from a leaf spring, which leaf spring, on being repositioned a specified distance by the weight of a properly filled blood collection bag, energizes an electrical circuit. The electrical circuit generates a pulse to momentarily energize a coil in proximity to a permanent magnet and momentarily disrupt the magnetic field of the magnet. A clamp for terminating the flow of blood to the blood collection bag is actuated on release of a weight retained by the magnetic field of the magnet, which release is achieved by the disruption of the magnetic field on energization of the coil.

Abstract: An integrated chair ensemble having nestable components transportable upon a dolly is disclosed. Each chair includes a contour body support structure supported upon a base; the body support structure is pivotable to provide a selectable upright or reclining position. The dolly serves to transport a plurality of nested sets of seats and bases to and from location and also serves as a recovery lounge or stretcher for donors in the event of a reaction due to the loss of blood.
