Abstract: An apparatus and a method for sharing of location information using a social network service are provided. The apparatus includes a communicator configured to communicate with a server for sharing of location information. A storage is configured to map and store at least one first account to a vehicle unique number, and map and store at least one second account of social network service to the first account. A controller is configured to confirm and display, when a login is completed using the first account, a point of interest (POI), and a current location of the vehicle through the server, and to share the current location and information through the social network service corresponding to the second account mapped to the first account.
