  • Patent number: 11948230
Abstract: The present invention describes a new functional biomarker of vascular inflammation and its use in predicting all-cause or cardiac mortality. The invention also provides a method for stratifying patients according to their risk of all-cause or cardiac mortality using data gathered from a computer tomography scans of a blood vessel to determine a specific combination of structural and functional biomarkers of vascular inflammation and disease.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20220336048
Abstract: One aspect of the invention provides a method for phenotype mapping clinical trial participants. The method includes: receiving a set of data corresponding to a plurality of characteristics for a plurality of individual participants; classifying each individual patient based on the plurality of characteristics and according to a dissimilarity index; determining a dissimilarity value for each individual patient with respect to each of the remaining individual patients; and generating a phenotype neighborhood map comprising graphical representations for each individual patient. A distance between one individual patient and another individual patient is according to the dissimilarity value determined for the one patient with respect to the other individual patient.

  • Publication number: 20210374951
Abstract: A method for characterising a perivascular region using medical imaging data of a subject. The method comprises calculating the value of a radiomic signature of the perivascular region using the medical imaging data. Also disclosed is a method for deriving a radiomic signature for predicting cardiovascular risk. The method comprises obtaining a radiomic dataset and using the radiomic dataset to construct a perivascular radiomic signature. Also disclosed are systems for performing the aforementioned methods.
