  • Publication number: 20140352129
Abstract: A method of delivering a discrete cord to a transfer member, wherein the method includes providing a supply path fluidly connected to a metered cord supply. The supply path comprises a fluid flow, a transfer member, and a cutting apparatus. The transfer member comprises a first surface, a second surface, and a plurality of orifices on the first surface. The method also comprises moving a deployed cord supply towards the transfer member through the supply path by the fluid flow. The method further comprises moving a portion of the deployed cord supply into an orifice of the transfer member and cutting the deployed cord supply to create a discrete cord comprising a first end and a second end; wherein a portion of the discrete cord is in the orifice to the transfer member.

  • Patent number: 8887285
Abstract: Heterogeneous sensors simultaneously inspect network traffic for attacks. A signature-based sensor detects known attacks but has a blind spot, and a machine-learning based sensor that has been trained to detect attacks in the blind spot detects attacks that fail to conform to normal network traffic. False positive rates of the machine-learning based sensor are reduced by iterative testing using statistical techniques.

Date of Patent: November 11, 2014
    Assignee: Resurgo, LLC

  • Publication number: 20140259423
Abstract: A helmet-shaped pillow having a chin strap in the front side, a neck opening, and a face opening above the chin strap. A cushioning material comprising polystyrene microbeads, memory foam, feathers, air, grains, herbs, or polystyrene pellets may be disposed in one or more compartments within the pillow. The cushioning material may be a thermal insulation material. The pillow may include built-in headphones, massaging devices, and an opening for passage of a ponytail. There may be a removable covering for the face opening and an eye covering. An anti-microbial agent may be incorporated into the fabric. The inner layer and outer layer may be reversible through manual manipulation. There may be an image or pattern on one or both outer surfaces of the inner and outer layers.

  • Patent number: 8091021
Abstract: A system and methods for facilitating adaptive grid-based document layout. More particularly, the adaptive grid-based document layout system and methods feature a new approach to adaptive grid-based document layout that utilizes a set of adaptive templates that are configurable in a range of different pages sizes and viewing conditions. The templates include various element types and constraint-based relationships that define the layout of elements with reference to viewing conditions under which the document content will be displayed and that define other content properties. Through a layout engine and paginator, the adaptive grid-based document layout system and methods determines a desirable sequence of templates to use for adapting document content. Additionally, the adaptive grid-based document layout system and methods provides a template authoring tool and user interface for interactively drawing and arranging layout elements within an adaptive template.
