  • Publication number: 20050056640
Abstract: A roll-off cable system industrial waste container includes a frame, a container body fixedly connected to the frame and having a rounded bottom defining a container interior for holding industrial waste, and a hoist connector connected to the frame and/or container body for pulling the structure onto a truck. The frame has two top lateral rails, a top front rail connected to the two top lateral rails, a front rail assembly connected at least to the top front rail, a bottom rail assembly connected at least to the front rail assembly, and a rear door assembly connected at least to the bottom rail assembly and one of the two top lateral rails. The door assembly has a pivotable door, a doorframe, and a locking assembly, all of substantially the same material as the body, in particular, steel. A method for making the container is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5950920
Abstract: An apparatus for receiving and separately storing recyclable waste materials of various types and non-recyclable waste materials. Recyclable or non-recyclable waste material is deposited in the open top of a receiving chamber. Deflectors when in a first position form a part of the sidewalls of the receiving chamber such that non-recyclable waste material deposited in the open top of the receiving chamber falls through an open bottom of the chamber into a compactor. Either of the deflectors in a second position closes the open bottom of the receiving chamber and deflects recyclable waste deposited in the open top of the receiving chamber into a storage container associated with the deflector in the second position.

  • Patent number: 5622103
Abstract: A waste disposal assembly for the simultaneous disposal of a plurality of fluid filtration devices, the assembly including a main disposal housing with a disposal storage area, a fluid storage area and, a processing area having an exterior access to allow loading of a plurality of fluid filtration devices into the processing area, a lid member to cover the processing area subsequent to the loading, a compactor face to compact the plurality of fluid filtration devices within the processing area thereby squeezing fluid from the fluid filtration devices and forming a compressed waste block which is thereafter separated so as to break up the compressed waste block within the processing area, and an interior access which is to be opened to receive the broken up compressed waste block therethrough for passage into the disposal storage area which is structured to contain a substantial quantity of the broken up compressed waste blocks until appropriate disposal is made.

  • Patent number: 4981317
Abstract: An apparatus for covering the open top of a container positioned on a vehicle for transportation includes a fluid actuated motor for a spool on which a flexible cover is wound, and a pair of fluid actuated cylinders to pivot a pair of elongated arms that convey the cover away from the spool. The motor is arranged to drive the spool to release the cover slightly slower than the arms are pivoted, so that the arms are not subjected to a large counter force. In addition, the spool is mounted for vertical movement so that containers having different heights may be properly closed.

  • Patent number: 4148265
Abstract: A safety box, such as a safe or small vault adapted for mounting in the wall of a building, is provided with a removable cover or door. A rotary latching arrangement is key-actuated to cause the cover to be selectively secured to the box at a plurality of points to effectively seal an opening to the interior of the safety box. Opening of the safety box is achieved by utilizing the key to rotate the latching arrangement in order to release the cover for removal from the box.
