    Abstract: Combine harvesters are provided for use in harvesting seed corn from corn plants in fields. In connection therewith, a method for producing such seed corn from the corn plants, for use in growing subsequent corn plants, includes measuring a moisture content of corn kernels on ears of the corn plants in the field and removing, by one of the combine harvesters, the ears of corn from the corn plants when the moisture content satisfies a threshold moisture content. The method then includes separating the corn kernels from cobs of the ears of corn onboard the combine harvester and collecting the separated corn kernels for use as seed corn, whereby one or more subsequent corn plants can be grown from the collected corn kernels.

    Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems, and machine readable mediums which monitor, archive, and version file system elements stored in one or more different network based file storage systems for one or more different users. Any changes to file system elements stored in the network based file storage systems are recorded and versioned. The system may allow users to revert to a previous version of a file system element, recover a deleted file system element, and the system allows for audits to determine which users placed a file system element in which network based file storage systems and determine which users had access to the file system element in the network based file storage systems. As a result, the disclosed system improves the end-user experience by providing versioning and auditing capabilities as well as allowing organizations to monitor and control their digital property in network based file storage systems.

A waveform may be obtained including speaking content of a plurality of speakers. The waveform may be separated into a plurality of segments using audio filters. Members of the plurality of segments including non-speaking content may be discarded to create a set of speaker segments. A first speaker segment may be transcribed to generate a first transcript. The first transcript may be evaluated to identify a grammar pattern and a natural language pattern. A speaker profile may be created for a speaker of the plurality of speakers using the grammar pattern. The speaker profile may be attributed to the first speaker segment and the first transcript. The first transcript may be output to a display including an indication of the speaker.

    Abstract: A driveline assembly for a motor vehicle includes a housing containing at least a portion of a driveline component and a wet disk brake assembly. The wet disk brake assembly includes a plurality of friction disks immersed within lubricating/cooling oil contained within the housing. Actuation of the friction disks creates a braking force to slow and stop rotation of an axle and creates heat that can cause premature deterioration of the lubricating/cooling oil that in turn can cause premature failure of driveline components and brake assembly components. An electric generator driven by a driveline component is included within the housing to provide additional braking energy to reduce the braking load on the wet disk brake assembly such that the lubricating/cooling oil maintains temperatures within acceptable predetermined operational limits without a separate oil cooling system.

    Abstract: A vehicle drive axle is provided that includes a housing having a longitudinal portion defining a cavity. An axle shaft is supported within the cavity for rotation about an axis. The cavity is at least partially filled with oil. A plurality of spaced apart noncontiguous projections extend from the axle shaft in a direction transverse to the rotational axis. During rotation of the axle shafts, the projections extend into the oil within the cavity and splash the oil onto the upper portion of the axle housing. Increased heat dissipation is achieved by dispersing the oil throughout the cavity, and in particular the upper portion of the axle housing, where it radiates into the surrounding environment.

    Abstract: An auxiliary power port such as is found in an automotive vehicle passenger compartment has a receptacle connected with the vehicle electrical system and a tubular, removable sleeve which fits inside the receptacle and receives a standard adapter plug of the type intended for use with automotive power ports. The exterior surface of the sleeve is covered with a layer of positive temperature coefficient (positive temperature coefficient) material, and insertion of the sleeve into the receptacle places the positive temperature coefficient layer in contact with the inner surface of the receptacle. The inner surface of the receptacle, the outer surface of the sleeve, and the positive temperature coefficient layer sandwiched therebetween form a positive temperature coefficient circuit overcurrent protection device. A number of interchangeable sleeves having different hold currents are provided for use with different electrical devices.

    Abstract: There is disclosed apparatus and method for unerasably marking computer and other information records and the like in a precise, machine readable manner so as to identify the particular record, and to control access to the record by providing means for authenticating a control member presented for access to the record. The illustrated system involves preparing a master card of opaque material through which micro patterns have been burned by a laser. This master is used to produce a facsimile pattern in a control member and/or the record to be identified and retrieved. The facsimile card is used as control member and the micro pattern compared with a bank of unique micro patterns to authenticate the pattern bearing control member and to identify the record bearing a similar micro pattern.
