    Abstract: A central pipe riser support structure is connected to an underwater offshore base member by means of a gimbal joint. Vertical flow lines run parallel to the central riser and are supported by support means connected thereto. The lowermost support of each flow line is formed by a guide sleeve allowing at most a 3.degree. deviation between the central axis of the guide sleeve and the central axis of the flow line.

    Abstract: A bottom-positioned well drilling platform is provided with an enclosure in the lower part thereof which forms a chamber into which returning drilling mud and cuttings can be discharged. A pump and separate return line raise the mud alone from the chamber to the top of the platform while the cuttings remain in the chamber.

    Abstract: A dual marine riser for use in drilling deepwater oil and gas wells from a floating vessel, the marine riser incorporating concentric inner and outer risers, the outer riser being provided with one or more remotely-actuatable valves adapted to bring the annular space between the risers into communication with surrounding sea water in order to equalize pressures over the wall of the outer riser when the inner riser has been installed.
