Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying marine unexploded ordinance (UXO) are provided. A magnetic moment of a candidate UXO is determined based on vector residual field magnetic data. Anomaly description data is determined using the magnetic moment including an estimate of at least two dimensions of the candidate UXO. A determination is made as to whether the anomaly description data fits with a reference description of a UXO to identify the candidate UXO as a probable UXO. An output device is controlled to provide an indication of the probable UXO.
