    Abstract: An analyser for the determination of double bonds in organic compounds comprises a reactor containing a compound to be tested through which passes an ozone-oxygen or ozone-air mixture. The gas outlet of the reactor is connected to a measuring cell which is mounted between a source and receiver of ultraviolet radiation, with the receiver being connected to the input of an integrating unit which is adapted to measure the area of a figure described by a time-dependent electric signal, which area is directly proportional to the number of double bonds in the compound being tested.
