    Abstract: A laser system includes a laser source and at least one orientationally adjustable and/or temperature-controlled nonlinear optical crystals. First and second position sensitive detectors respectively detect fundamental and higher frequency harmonic beams. A controller receives signals from the first and second detectors indicative of a phase matching error and controls an orientation and/or a temperature of the crystal based on the signals to substantially a phase matching condition.
