    Abstract: A device for printing hollow bodies includes a rubber blanket cylinder. A supply device, which guides the hollow bodies to the rubber blanket cylinder, is provided. The supply device comprises a mandrel which is rotated by a drive. One of the hollow bodies to be printed is arranged coaxially on the mandrel. An axial spacing between the mandrel and the rubber blanket cylinder can be changed as a result of an adjusting movement of the supply device. The adjusting movement of the supply device is a linear adjusting movement. The supply device is configured as a linear system which radially supplies the hollow bodies to the rubber blanket cylinder individually and one after the other. The supply device has multiple different positions, each of which places the respective hollow body to be printed, along the adjustment path of the supply device. The positions are arranged at different respective radial distances with respect to the rubber blanket cylinder.

The assembly of the chambered doctor blade system forms a cantilever arm on a side frame of the inking unit. The assembly of the chambered doctor blade system can be moved axially parallel to the anilox roller and can be removed from the inking unit by that movement.

    Abstract: A doctor blade system utilizes a lightweight doctor blade chamber to apply ink to an inking roller. The doctor blade chamber is removably positioned on a support plate which is, in turn, carried by linear guides on pivotable end plates. A rigid box beam is also attached to the end plates and is spaced from the support plate. A plurality of membrane cylinders are mounted on the rigid box beam and engage a surface of the support plate opposite to the surface that supports the doctor blade chamber. Through the application of suitable force, the support plate and its supported doctor blade chamber can be moved, by sliding motion on the linear slides, into uniform engagement with the surface of the ink roller. The system uses pivotable end plates which are supported by exterior plates that are, in turn, pivotably supported by press side frames.

    Abstract: A flexographic printing press is comprised of at least four printing cylinders which are each driven by a respective drive motor. These at least four printing cylinders cooperate directly with a common satellite cylinder during the printing of a web of material. Each of these printing cylinders supports at least one flexographic printing plate. Each end journal of such printing cylinder is mounted in at least one linear bearing that is located on a lateral frame, and which can be moved perpendicularly to the axis of rotation of the respective cylinder. A stator of each driving motor can be moved along with the associated linear bearing, or along with the printing cylinder. Each such drive motor is configured as a synchronous motor which is excited by a permanent magnet. An independent hydraulic actuator is assigned to each printing cylinder, to change the position of that printing cylinder.
