    Abstract: Drawing instrument divided into two parts and held together with magnets and a partition between the two parts. One side of the partition is the surface that is drawn upon. Movement of the hand held part will cause a corresponding movement of the tracing part, thereby tracing the drawing on the surface that is drawn upon. Owing to the change in polarity on the edge of a cylindrical or cuboid shaped magnet, the drawing portion of the instrument can be made to lie parallel with the page being drawn upon and thereby be moved around the page without marking the page.
