  • Patent number: 11291565
Abstract: Asymmetric external support for stabilizing vein grafts used in coronary arterial bypass graft (CABG) procedures, and applications thereof. Includes: tubular wire braided mesh longitudinally extending proximally and distally, configured with non-paired elastic wires and paired plastically deformable wires. Elastic wires extend along support full length. Paired plastically deformable wires proximal ends are non-connected and open. Plastically deformable wires extend less than support full length, and are configured with inter-looped distal end portions (loops) proximally longitudinally offset from support distal end, and outwardly radially extending beyond support outer radius. Loops may be individually secured, via loop closure securing procedures. In CABG procedures, support externally covers vein grafts, whereby support distal portion (with longitudinally offset loops) is positionable at coronary artery anastomosis sites, and support proximal end is positionable at other anastomosis sites.

  • Publication number: 20220039798
Abstract: A sheath for use in performing surgical vascular anastomotic procedures, and applications thereof. Sheath includes a sheath main portion (tubular member) having a sheath main portion distal end, and a (cylindrical or conical) sheath main portion proximal open end, and also includes a sheath distal end portion, continuous with sheath main portion distal end, and having at least one intra-sheath fluid (blood, water, air) flow passageway (tunnel), each extending and passing entirely through inside of the sheath distal end portion, via two differently located parts thereof. Sheath distal end portion further includes an intra-sheath control wire anchoring and fixing pocket (cavity), and a sheath control wire passageway. Each intra-sheath fluid flow passageway facilitates continuous flow of blood vessel lumen fluids (blood, water, air) through the overall sheath.

  • Publication number: 20200261640
Abstract: Method for treating an arteriovenous fistula dilated venous segment in a hemodialysis patient whose arteriovenous fistula exhibits abnormally high venous blood flow or/and pressure. Includes: surgically reconstructing the AVF dilated venous segment, to form an AVF reconstructed venous segment, followed by covering and supporting the AVF reconstructed venous segment with implantable blood vessel external support, such that the arteriovenous fistula will exhibit normal venous blood flow and pressure. Also disclosed is a method for pre-determining an arteriovenous fistula reconstructed venous segment lumen diameter, as guidance for treating AVF dilated venous segments in hemodialysis patients. Also disclosed is use of an implantable blood vessel external support for treating a hemodialysis AVF dilated venous segment.
